The second debate grapples with the legacy and future of masculinity. In an age where even the most genuine criticisms of the social expectations of masculinity have led to extreme backlash, we ask whether the core values and virtues associated with modern masculinity can be defended and cherished, or whether our retention of the idea prevents true liberation for all.

Chris Green OBE- In 2004 Chris founded White Ribbon UK while working as a senior lecturer at Manchester Metropolitan University. From 2005-2008 he was appointed by the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities to be a member of the Council of Europe Task Force to combat Violence against Women which formulated and obtained funding to create the Istanbul Convention, now signed and ratified by 26 European countries.
