Glad to see him up on stage again. The last time I saw Chris play was when wasp opened for kiss in Seattle. During their song, I wanna be somebody, I had a couple of big dudes push the crowd back so I could jump up and grab Chris's mic. We got to finish the song before I handed it back up. Bypassed the bouncers and handed the mic to a tech. Chris wasn't happy at first, but I think it set the mood for Chris to kickass that night. He played like a mad man. A memory I'll cherish for the rest of my life.

I really hate that it took me till I was 40 years old to appreciate wasp and especially Chris Holmes guitar playing... the way he approaches the instrument and his guitar tone really hits home with how I approach the instrument myself. Holmes is truly the first person to make an influence on me since I discovered Randy Rhoads when I was Young.

Shows what an absolutely astounding vocalist Blackie Lawless is. I don't wanna hear anyone but Blackie sing it. I really did love Chris's guitar work in the original. His original feel and wailing sound perfectly matched Blackie's visceral vocals. 3:58 5:15

We forget, we all age, and the guys that we listened to when we were young were several years or more our seniors back then. Now 40 plus years later, here we are in our in our mid 50's thinking, "why these guys look so old? Oh yea that's right, they're in their 60's, 70's and 80's now.

Not to mention they lived/partying harder than most of their fans. That swimming pool scene in The Decline of Western Civilization Pt 2 was so depressing... didn't think he'd live much longer after that came out.

@Fons van Oers I only found out about that after reading up on the aftermath of the film release. It's a different tragedy, in the effect it had on his career. Still, I was relating my impression after seeing it in the late 80s, not knowing the truth behind the scene.

It's a miracle that the guitar Chris is using, a Jackson RR-1 (named after Randy Rhoads), has actually survived all these years. That's a testament to the quality of what Jackson guitars were, back then. Interesting note: Chris Holmes did NOT like Randy Rhoads.

Does anybody know if he's going to be with W.A.S.P on their reunion tour? I'm psyched that blackie is coming out of retirement for the occasion but it's not going to be that enjoyable if Chris isn't with W.A.S.P. yeah I will still go but I'm going to be disappointed. A shout out to my fellow North Carolinians, they are going to be at the Fillmore in Charlotte, NC, at 7:30 pm, November 27 I believe. For the rest of the State, I'm not sure. Charlotte is closer to me so that's why I know. I didn't look for the other shows.
