Even though I don’t follow or watch the current Jericho because of the promotion he’s in, I still have very fond memories of his early Mexico years. You could tell even back then he was going to be a Star. Hearing him and Konnan talk about a lot of those Luchadores from the past was great.

man i remember growing up watching the LA territory, then WWF and some WCCW in LA. my mom sends me to mexico for a few years and i fell in love with mexican wrestling. Tinieblas, el Súper Muneco…. i return to LA about 89 and everything was WWF. When KWHY 22 opened up and started showing Mexican wrestling i got to witnesses Los Gringos locos, Jake’ roberts and Konnan’s storyline at the airport. I clearly remember watching a match and they introduced Corazon De Leon…. much respect to you guys. Having visited mexican wrestling arenas and living between Cuernavaca Morelos and Iguala Guerrero for a few years… i can definitely say those bus trips were fucken annoying and hell without AC. Jericho and Konnan…. thank you for all those years of entertainment…. it was a sort of wrestling honor to tell everyone i saw you guys before joining WCW. ah, the days before youtube. love these stories. much respect

2:18 very insightful so wrestlers would travel knowing they would have a guaranteed two shows a week kind of thing and then if it went well they would get even more shows as the weeks would go on. Cool stuff 👍

As a young Hispanic kid in Chicago, I was raised on watching Lucha first AND THEN got into WWE. It was a nice experience to see the different styles of wrestling. And then eventually seeing Dr. Wagner Jr's old Japan videos to watching him wrestle Sabu and RVD in AAA was amazing to see.

It happens. You get older, and especially these guys take a few blows to the head, smoke one too many jays, eventually you recycle a conversation here and there without realizing it. First it’s them, then eventually both of you don’t realize it. You won’t be young forever. I remember being a kid, speaking to my friends, entertaining a conversation knowing we had already spoken about that exact same thing not too long ago, thinking I was sooo much smarter than they were. As I got older I’d ask myself more and more “have we talked about this before” and less and less knowing the answer and to be honest, not even caring. If the conversation is good that’s all that matters, we’re having fun, we’re strengthening that bond- that’s it. That’s what it’s all about. And if you’re resentful of that, then that’s your right but let me tell you- it’s not gonna last forever bro. There’s exactly one Konan , exactly One Chris Jericho. I say enjoy them while you have them brother. Appreciate the bad with the good and the new with the old. Peace

The book is more of a coffee table book. Full of pictures, charts and other oddball fun fact shit. That's what he was going for he said in a another interview
