I would say five, six years ago it would have been hard to comprehend. Back when Dr. Buss was still running the team it would have been an impossibility. The problem is that the Lakers have a serious problem with leadership and a maintenance of decorum and authority. As such, the whole franchise has degraded because the people running it now are not the same caliber as the people who ran it back in the day. A great example of this is the franchises (I.E. Jeannie Buss) feud with the logo himself Jerry West. It's gotten to the point of abject, petty slander. Case in point the series HBO series "Winning Time" they flat out lied about former Lakers Jerry West and Norm Nixon. Why? Not because they did anything wrong during their tenures as players or as staff, but because both men had the gall to disagree with Jeannie and to make the disagreement known to the public.

Lakers average attendance the three season before Lebron arrived - 18,960. Lebron has no impact on ticket sales. Maybe he has an impact on merchandise sales (i.e. jerseys), but not ticket sales.

The thing that doesn't make sense to me is, Lebron keeps saying it was Bronny's dream to hear his name be called and get drafted, to hear his name be called, but Bronny didn't really work for that draft call. Lebron basically bought it for him, and Bronny knows that. So how can this drafting be satifying for Bronny? It's basically like saying, Bronny's dream was to dunk a basketball, so Lebron put a basketball in Bronny's hands, lifted him up close to the rim, so Bronny could dunk the ball.... at 19 years of age!! LOL!! If that draft call was actually satifying for Bronny, like he really felt like he accomplished something huge, with all due respect, he is JUST like his father; cheating the process for success.

I can't imagine any top NBA player wanting to play on the Lakers at this point. The team is about LeBron and no one but LeBron. The best players are going to look for positions with other teams that are with reaching distance of the trophy. There are plenty of excellent teams that just need one or two good players to reach the finals. But with the Lakers it's always going to be the James family dog and pony show.

I am not sorry not one 55th NBA Draft pick has EVER gotten a guaranteed 4 yr contract. Now Bronny was supposedly hurt already with a sore knee after one game?? He's 19 years old and missed his 2nd Summer league game. Is he being load-managed at age 19?? What position will he even play in the NBA, he is too short to be a shooting guard?? He only takes 9 shots in his first game, if I got a guaranteed 4yr deal I am not even competing for a roster spot, I would be doing what Kobe did, shoot the MF ball, and not care if you miss he should be taking 15-20 shots. LMAO .. They need to stop playing with people. He was the 4th best player on his HS team and only made 2nd team all-conference.. LeBron said he doesn't care, what people think, he should be thinking about public opinion and mad and play with some energy in every game this Summer. The Lakers may have figured out what the Chicago Bulls organization has figured out. Just ride the wave of the past Championships. The fans will always show up, you'll still be top of the league in ticket sales, merch will continue to sell etc etc. The Bulls have been riding the Jordan era and 90s Bulls for over 30 years. Yeah I think my concern is that the Coach is going to play Bronny in games when others should play instead of him. This situation isn't good for the NBA if that happens. It's one thing to help him get drafted, but for him to actually being favored by the coach possibly, getting guaranteed money that few else would get at his draft position, this is like high school level type of stuff that Lebron is potentially bringing to a professional level where the Superintendent of like a high school uses his influence to get his son to play on the High School Hoops team.
