Why does he have to watch it? He lived through it lol. And at the end of the day Dan Schneider is problematic. But the lack of parenting is the real issue. I don’t think you need to watch a traumatic documentary to want to speak on it. Not sure if you saw his mom speak out and kinda forced him to have to make a statement.
@cuca_3 ай бұрын
@@zeanibanks3950 I think the point is he didn’t live through it, he fortunately didn’t have the traumatic experiences that his peers had. So he needs to inform himself instead of just contribute ‘i had a great experience’. What does this do to contribute to the conversation? This could’ve been a quick minute or two clip uploaded to his instagram or said on live. Not an entire empty episode. Truly it seems like this is just meant to say, “sucks it was you but it wasn’t me.”

It brings another side of the conversation. Both sides matter.

So because he didn't experience trauma, he can't talk about it? Y'all are really weird! Both sides of the story are valid, it can help you understand how things changed and evolved, both good and bad. It shows you that there could've been some lucky ones (maybe due to his parents strong involvement on set). Things aren't just black and white

I think his experience actually and how blind he is and the response by Raven exemplified the misogyny of the industry. It wasn’t his experience because he wasn’t the target. Girls and women were the people Dan Schneider was inappropriate with and exploitative to. As is the case with many girls and women throughout Hollywood.

Raven and Miranda, I wanna join a Tea Time with the 2 of y'all. Cause sometimes I feel like there's a special place for me to fit in with y'all as my favourite married couples where I can get a laugh or have some good times with positive vibes. Even do a toast.

Why did you guys even have him on? He doesn't have a clue. Honestly, it's shameful on both sides. Also, Kyle Massey is also a child predator? The whole family dynamic is effed.

I don't know but he's perfect there is no point of him being there that it was a bunch of nothing because honestly I thought he was going to redeem himself and his brother

This is a very informative episode about child and teen actors and the whole process of how things really work and how they are supposed to work. Thank you very much.

Such an important subject, child actors NEED to be protected. The audio was pretty low and echo-y though, didn't sound like the mics were turned on.

They probably thought it was cute or funny 🤢 just made the podcast feel like a low-quality production which I’m guessing it is

i think chris asked for raven to keep that in the video because he thought it was funny (you can kinda hear him say it in the video) but i agree

Ew. Justifying abuse by saying other spaces are abusive is gross. All abuse and toxic environments are worth looking into. He didn’t even watch the doc. He doesn’t understand how bad this makes him look
@Rikkulyoko13 ай бұрын
So he reached out to a celeb he had a connect with to use their platform to get some PR points, didn't really say all to much and didn't acknowledge or take accountability for it anyway. Then we jump to discussing parents (which I know need to take accountability in the matter) like dude, why don't you address anything people are actually asking you to take some accountability for?
@ensabahnur31043 ай бұрын
What would he be taking accountability for? He didn't do anything.

I'm glad he was able to share his experience and also not downplay anyone elses experience at the same time. Where he's basically saying, "I was a kid and I was doing as I was told." to as an adult he can look back now and say, "you know... that wasn't okay."

This conversation seems somewhat disingenuous. Raven worked closely with Orlando Brown and Kyle Massey and look at how they both turned out. Chris claims his parents kept an eye on him on set but it doesn't explain why his brother turned out the way he did. It does not add up.

Drake Bells Father was on set ! So what’s his point ? Watch the documentary
@chantaljimenez46443 ай бұрын
Drake father was on set n he did his job good that they basically ball ball him basically. when the mom took over the job she job don’t let drake be alone with this dude and first she did was say that too far he can take u. She was so uninvolved she didn’t know what was up, a stranger knew in an instant.
@violetblossom503 ай бұрын
Drake’s mom was the problem. His dad told the mom not to leave him alone with Brian and she still did.
@ensabahnur31043 ай бұрын
No he was not. Drake fired his father, and Brian Peck got full access to Drake... did you watch the documentary. Chris said his father was constantly there and walked him to and from set, and when they wanted to talk to Chris.they talked to his father first. Drake said his Dad was gobe, his mother wasn't around, and she let Brian Peck pick him up, and take him to his house... Again... did you watch the documentary?

Chris needs to watch the doc. In the doc it details how Drake Bell a “straight guy” was systematically raped and abused. It’s not a mark of honor or rite of passage or anything like that at all and any young people listening should be reporting these interactions without hesitation.

WOW! I find it disgusting that he is normalizing that he got upset on set when something went wrong. As a teacher and victim of child SA this just makes me mad. VIOLENCE IT IS NOT NORMAL. The speech tou are spreading is dangerous. Screaming is a way of violence and it is NOT NORMAL. I recommend you to investigate the educational theories of Waldorf and Montessori. Also, you need to learn what violence is.
