Chloe Silverado LOLOL that scene had me in tears!!!!! couldn't look at local news the same way after that. And that Aaliyah dance. I think I pretty much fell for his character the second he opened his mouth in the first episode. Actually it was when he shouted out something during Mindy's drunk wedding speech pop culture related. Love the name by the way :)

It's a shame that the media has such a skewed view of beauty. Beauty comes in all shapes, sizes and color. I think Mindy is beautiful. I'm glad she's breaking down cultural norms on television.

I love mindy kaling, she opens minds to believe anyone can be beautiful from inside and out. Beauty standards are ridiculous these days and nobody should have to feel the need to fill those standards.

@@pizza_warrior7460 the mention of size shape and color was used because like the person said the media has a skewed view of beauty. Deny it all you want or ignore it all you want but in this society and its standards, people like Mindy Kaling are often considered "unattractive". Our society is judgemental with many different standards and the reality is that people who look like Mindy Kaling or any POC or someone who isn't thin is often not part of this standard. It is horrible and disgusting but reality nonetheless

Disgusting, loaded question that puts Chris in a very awkward position. It's as if you're asking him 'Hey what's it like to play the handsome leading man with a schlubby looking woman?' Chris and his co-star handled it brilliantly though. How dare they insinuate Mindy is not attractive.

So why even broach the issue this way? There is a way smarter, more tactful way to say, 'how about all that ridiculous talk going on about Mindy's appearance - she's a beautiful woman it makes no sense.' But more than that - why talk about her looks at all?? And in a way that insinuates she's not attractive? How is it relevant? Even if he doesn't agree with it what he did instead was give those opinions more credence than they ever deserved so well done to Chris for being a class act.

Yeah, to compare her to a "schlubby" guy is ridiculous. Sorry she isn't as skinny as Hollywood seems to prefer, but she is beautiful, well groomed, well dressed, smart, talented, and funny. Damn, must be difficult for her to find handsome guys that want to associate with her :/

I think Mindy is hot, and yet really adorable. A lot comes down to personality and humour and she is awesome. I don't think she is fat, maybe could do with some toning here and there but definitely not overweight

I don't particularly like it when Interviewers say "some people think..." Also the question shouldn't be addressed to Chris. Perhaps a writer or Ike who plays Morgan who is also a writer on the show.

Honestly when I first watched the show I thought the same thing, it seemed unrealistic.. Now don't get me wrong I think she's a beautiful, smart, funny woman but in real life you'd hardly ever see guys like Casey, Cliff the lawyer, Timothy Olyphant or some other love interest from the show date a "normal" woman like Mindy. They usually go for the tall, skinny, white girl. I have almost never seen a really good-looking guy with an average woman. On the other hand there are plenty of less than average guys who date hot women.Double standards I guess. Chris is a true gentleman though and handled the question pretty well.
