I'm creating a Realistic Super Mario Brothers Remake with Chris Pratt as Mario! This is the EPIC Trailer for the first major update.
I am a life long Nintendo fan, and I'm very excited for the Super Mario animated movie from Illumination and Nintendo! So, I decided to make some sort of fan project while we're all waiting for a trailer. But, then I started to wonder what it would look like if Chris Pratt, Charlie Day, Anya Taylor-Joy, Jack Black, and Keegan-Michael Key, were actually these characters in a realistic mushroom Kingdom. That seemed like an incredibly fun idea, and that's why I'm attempting to make this game. With zero game development experience, I'm learning unreal engine from scratch and picking up any other skills that I can along the way, in an effort to make this a legitimately great action game!

I sat the entire movie smiling ear to ear.....it hit on all the nostalgia in the best way possible. I grew up with mario from the arcade to consoles. Thank you for letting me feel that spark of being a kid again when the world wasn't so complicated

But they can't take it down. Even if they wanted to. This is a parody game, which like any other derivative work, is protected from copyright infringement claims. The key is to avoid trying to SELL the game tho. Because if they to do that then the Nintendo Ninjas will be all over this one.

Hey you mentioned that the 3d platforming is really hard. You could try slove it in the way Nintendo does. You need the main character to have an over head light source at all times to cast a hard shadow directly under him. That way when you're in the air you can see where your going to land. Your game looks great!!

Give me a break, this game will not see the light of day, not if Nintendo finds out about it. Just look at what happened to the Mario 64 remake. Not only that, but OP used a celebrity likeness by name without permission which already spells legal trouble. You can still be sued even if you don't make any money, in fact, they can claim that you caused them DAMAGES which might be enough to sue you into bankruptcy. Welcome to America. Best to keep trademark infringing games to yourself or replace the infringing game assets with your own.

As someone who once tried to ise both the alien from the movie aliens and mario stuff in the same dungeons and dragons game, I know just how hard it is to make mario seem believable. Props for all the hard work.
