Everytime i hear that song i See my Dad driving his car and kick the steeringwheel with his Fingers in the rhythum of the drum off this song. He passed away 3 years ago... I still miss him

Still a great song and video 30 years later. I saw this video for the first time on a music video show called Noise Network that has probably long since been forgotten. I was in my early 20s in a studio apartment. Good times.

Chris Rea is possibly one of the greatest survivors in the music business. He shouldn't be alive with the hands he has been dealt but he's still alive and still gigging. True British grit and an absolute gent.

A great video of another of Chris's classics. Incidentally I think I remember Chris saying they had to reshoot the video for this song, as the original video, which was around the time of the gulf war, was considered inappropriate somehow.

Left Fort Bragg in august, 1990 for Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. Never forget those oil well fires. Spent my son’s 1st birthday in a hole in the desert. Have NEVER told anyone that. Now, the whole world knows.

Yes the people born after the 90s did missed the great Era of music physically in the body because they werent born yet but they are getting exposed to the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s music 🎶 on the radio, TV shows, movies and through their parents playing the music. By the way, I was born before the 1990s.

I grew up listening to this stuff, didn’t realise it at the time but just knew it liked it, going into old blues in my early 20’s i found rea again and knew that joy from an age i couldn’t remember.. now i do the same for my kids, one of my children really respond and actually ask for this music. Art lives on if the great artist has long since gone.
