The first time I got acquainted to Chris Rea's music was in the late eighties. I was sort of stranded in a night time snowstorm in Ariège, Southwestern France and the radio was playing "Looking For The Summer'. C'est à cette époque là que j'ai pris goût aux chansons de Chris. Le temps a passé, mais sa musique n'a pas pris une ride. J'éprouve toujours un infini plaisir à l'écouter de temps à autre.

Chris since I first heard your song The Road to Hell (long version) 0n a Texas radio station way back in 1989, I was HOOKED. I've basically never got unhooked. Love all your albums and the "bait" is in every cd case. Thank you for supplying the stepping stones in my life as an American Trucker. Thirty eight years accident free. I loved the road with you riding shotgun.🎲

Just fini listening to "Gonna Buy A Hat", and I'd swear it was a song about politics today. Also a song called " Only to Fly"..glad you rattled my chain today, otherwise I had forgotten about this. @@kympridham8267 hey! Thanks for the treat. Curse of the Traveler is a old favoritei of mine and a must play @ 10:00, 2:00 & 4:00 hours into a road trip!Lol. The videos are really nice too ,and so well choreographed and blended to create the total ride.. This song is long, and I'm guilty of hitting the loop button. I don't know how to send music from here, but If I could it'd be Only to Fly, and Looking For The Summer.

The first time my ears and my brain was blessed with your music and the lyrics so perfectly and somehow magically blended together that I just knew IF I were a musician, a .songwriter, and NOT a Truckerman I would BE YOU. I I've enjoyed having you in my life for 32 years now and tomorrow, as I cruise out for my errands Your voice and music will fill the interior of my old car and I'll even let some of you escape, Set You Free and you'll blend into the North Carolina breeze. I've never considered changing anything ,about the lyrics,the music, the tempo, the videos. ALL CREATED and Made Exclusively for ME!
