I had a rough Holiday. Had to miss Christmas and New Year Celebrations as I was sick in bed. The thing that cheered me was Driving Home for Christmas. I had never heard it before! Another facinating yet simple inteview about his album Dancing with Strangers. The man called "Davey" who Chris talks about is the famous Irish Uillean Pipe player Davey Spillan. My father was involved in Television and used Davey Spillans fantastic and somtimes haunting music on many pieces of his work. I saw Davey play live in Donegal (I think) with my parents when i was a young Pup. Spillan and his band were banging out the music from an open Truck during a dry but overcast day. The place was Full of German, American and Irish tourists and they were all hopping and dancing around like a bunch of mad yokes as he played some great tunes using his Pipes and Tin whistle. You can imagine what a 12-13 year old boy must have thought about those lunatics!!! Loved Davey Spillans albums i must say and that's thanks to my father.

Dancing With Strangers is a bit meandering but Windy Town and Loving You Again are superb.
