Thanks for the great interview with Spedding! I've been a fan all my adult life. I'm the kind of music freak who would connect him to tons of different artists because I've listened to a massive broad spectrum of music ever since I was young. I'm 58 now and I have always admired Chris for all the work he's done with so many cool artists. I am that person who would have your solo work, and see you live with John Cale, Bryan Ferry, and Robert Gordon. And I would also be aware of your work with the Sex Pistols. You first blew my mind in Bryan Ferry's touring band when I saw you play in the late seventies. It was an amazing band and you really stood out. I'll be in Toronto next month and hope to take my brother to see you with Robert Gordon at the Opera House. I turned him and his friends on to you and Robert Gordon when they were teenagers, so I want to take my brother out to see you for his birthday. Really wild seeing you touring with Gordon again. It's been almost 30 years since I've seen you guys play together, if my memory serves. Thanks again for the interview!

An absolutely great interview with my favourite guitarist. What a musician; what a history. Chris loves reading history. I wonder if he has ever thought of writing his stories as an autobiography? It would leave for posterity what being a successful professional pop musician is really like without all the stardom stuff. I saw him with Bryan ferry in Washington DC in 2019. The playing still perfect especially on his solo on My Only Love, a solo which goes back to Roxy Music days. Still in the background - the consummate musician.

A Rock'n'Roll national treasure. From Bryan Ferry to Nina Hagen, he always played the right notes in the right amount and made 'em sound awesome. He deserves an OBE for his service to amazing guitar riffs.

What an absolute fantastic piece of viewing. 2hrs never passed so quickly. I was out walking my dog yesterday with my dog walking friend & neighbour who has shared many a stage over the passed 30yrs with Chris & we was discussing him. That conversation brought me here to remind myself what a true talent & wonderful guy he is. So thank you for putting this together & thank Mr Newmark for the reminder :))

I can’t say enough how much I love and how many times I’ve listened to Nick Mason’s Fictitious Sports ... cool and great that they spoke about it ! Mentioning Robert Wyatt should’ve been mind you still ... Chris Spedding - such a massive favourite for decades ... Awesome. I was listening to the audiobook version of Anger is an Energy by John Lydon on the way to get my cats neutered this morning and he talks about Chris Spedding so that brought me here. I also remember Steve Jones telling us Chris was a Womble in the making of Never Mind the Rude Word.

The Sex Pistols have been one of my favorite groups since I stole one of their cassettes, Live at Burton On Trent, from a used bookstore in the DFW Metroplex when I was 13 years old in 1987. It wasn't my idea to shoplift but my friend saw that they had a few tapes by the Dead Kennedys in there and we just got into skateboarding and hanging out with kids in Jr high with funny hair and combat boots. Anyway, my mom bought me Bollocks a few months later and the VHS of Sid and Nancy a few months after that. I'm more into their history than anything these days and Chris name has come up quite a few times in the recent past. I've even become buddies with Noel Monk but he doesn't tell me much other than he really liked Sid. Anyway, yeah; totally true about taking my two boys to get neutered this morning. Unfortunately the place canceled our appointment but, No worries. I figure they were born in August and were living between mine and my neighbors fence. On September 11th the 3 of them came out to me dirty and very hungry. Momma wasn't caring for them. My good friends gf adopted the female and I kept the two male twins who were obviously very bonded. I bought all the kitten food and kmr replacement milk. Now they are so big. They bring me nothing but joy.

I wish you would have asked him about playing on Roy Harper’s “HQ” along with Bill Bruford, that would have been interesting to hear what he thought about that band.

I have had the luxury of having Chris perform at my club in Hamilton Ontario Canada a few times, with Robert Gordon. In fact, he last played at the club on November 15th 2019 with Robert Gordon. In their band.... Rob Stoner on the bass and Thommy Price on drums. Mr. Spedding is one of the nicest people I have ever met in this business. Subjectively speaking, one of the greatest guitar players, ever. I really enjoyed this interview. Congrats on such a great job, Craig! For anyone that doesn’t know or hasn’t heard or bought King Mob - Force 9 / Chris Spedding - Joyland / The Sharks - Killers of The Deep / The Sharks - Ready Set Go are ALL must haves for some newer Rock n Roll ... that King Mob album is so good as in absolutely fantastic !!
