There is a studio version on You Tube, in black and white....This song got limited air play here in Chicago, mostly because the stations didn't know what to do with it. It wasn't "county enough" for some, wasn't "pop" enough for others.. Didn't fit rock or alternative stations.. So they don't play it much anymore. I for 1 think it's 1 of his best! Thx Jen!

The ones who gaslight like a snake charmer/used car salesmen can. They’re used to conning their way through life, fooling even the most empathic people on the planet. Gut feelings, yes…very real…But the worst ones, the Malignant narcissists, they explode in anger, or they panic bc you’re onto them. A true empath knows deep down inside, yet they want to avoid conflict. I survived a narc abusive relationship, I can read people before they even speak to me. But sometimes we let our guard down for the simple fact that we were conditioned to be co-dependent. Best believe I’ve done extensive research on narcissism, and all forms. I’ve even spoken with a psychologist who wrote a book on narcissism. That’s why you should never ignore that gut feeling!!! Sorry for the essay comment response. But it’s something I had to learn the hard way, yet I will never again fall for that. The love bombing that they do, the future faking, the panicking when you catch them lying, or talking to another woman/women while you’re literally right next to them in the bed….believe me when I say they are evil to the core!!! A narcissist is a true nightmare in the flesh!!! They love bomb you, talk you up like you’re the best thing since sliced bread…then when the discard happens, the smear campaign is on and poppin’! Then they send their flying monkeys, the very same people you thought were your mutual friends….to spy on you and gather intelligence for them. It’s a freaking nightmare, and it will tear you down if you let it! But you simply have to fight back and let them know you won’t take no shit!!! They’re very good at what they do, and the next fling is the next victim. They can never change, regardless of the endless promises that they will!!!! It’s a cycle of abuse I would rather not have to deal with ever again! You better get familiar with the block features, or they will continue to plague you!!! A true Empath won’t allow this to jade them, they will continue to be their usual caring loving selves…only to their narcissist…now we are their worst nightmare 😉

Great job Jen. Welcome to the country family. Chris is country/blues mix. Sadly there isn't many real country singers out there anymore. But Jamie Johnson is a good one to look into. Even Aron Lewis (Stained front man) is a better country singer than what they have on "country radio. Check out Am I The Only One by Aron. Keep it going girl!

Was in a verbally abusive relationship about 6 years ago now and thank God it never got physical, but it was very toxic and I didn't like the person that I was turning into when I was with that person so they couldn't make the decision whether they wanted to be with me or go so I made the decision for them. After about a 2-year absence from dating I've been in a healthy relationship for the past three years it'll be our three year anniversary actually on Valentine's Day. But I think I had to go through that verbal abuse and that toxicity in the previous relationship to value the relationship that I've cultivated with my significant other now and it's a relationship that we've cultivated together we make our own rules as far as what works for our particular situation and relationships and I couldn't be happier! But it took a while to get there I had to go through that grieving cold days before I can get to where I am now

I love hearing this. First, Thank you for sharing! Secondly, happy soon-to-be anniversary! I was in a physically abusive relationship for 7 years, then I was in one for 4. The last long-term relationship I had wasn’t as physically abusive, more so emotionally, and verbally. A few instances happened where it got to be quite scary, as I am 5’1” tall, and he is 6’6”. I’m telling you that last relationship was worse than the first one. At least bruises heal. For the past year or so, I’ve been working on myself. It’s been the best ride of my life!!! One day I’ll be open enough for another relationship, but right now I’m enjoying working on me! So thank you for sharing!

Ok I said in the video for Tennessee Whisky that I didn't like his version of it. I also said that I like him just not how he did that song because of my attachment to the original. I love the feel of this, it makes you feel like you're in a lounge in New Orléans. Oh you didn't just become a country fan Marcus Scott and I already broke you on the total hate of Country a while back, but we know you will never be a full blown country girl. We are also good with you just the way you are Jen.
