I just don't get it when people hate on Chris, I figure singing one of the hardest techniques in looping or any sort of music production, just look at the loopers with great singing voices, like mb14, robin or NME... The great singing makes them such good loopers! And I think Chris actually did a good job with all his sound arrangements and drumsets, howcome that is not considered looping? The community is just more toxic then lets say a few years ago... I really hope people can start to appreciate the musicality of Chris's rounds, I'm willing to listen to his tracks all day long. If his music is not your type, at least show some respect.

@@renii1607 yeah indeed, even back in 2019 the community was more about hype, respect, and simply enjoying the tracks and battles. And somehow it turns into a bit of a mess in especially 2021 and 2022... I guess this is what happens when the community grows larger and less niche. It's good for the artform in general, but I just kinda miss the atmosphere back then

i can appreciate his musicality and skill, which was apparent. However you can make a complex song and keep it musical, and without dissing him the patterns and melodies were quite simple. his harmonies were some of the best ive heard at a gbb event though.

and the community thing, the polish rave scene didn't really help this issue. even in 2019 when nme said "enough drops" a couple people bood him. since then its only gotten worse i think.

@@yyt8519 I think its also because of critical thinking people, and it's not bad but the thing is that like in a lot of scenes, some people just get the message bad so they start to close the door to another formats, styles, etc. For example, you can criticize an artist for his art but not hating him or making him feel bad because of the win or lose of a battle, that's being disrepectful with the person, not with the music. Anyway i also miss those days when beatbox community was more respectful and more like just enjoying the music and styles.

Chris really made me a fan this GBB, and it sucks to see people hating on him. You can say that his style isn't meant for battles and that's fine, but he still makes great vibes with his music and he absolutely deserved to get as far as he did. Can't wait to see more from him.

Chris always brings some variation to the competitions with his singing and it's fantastic. His second round was one of my favorites of all time. The haters can stay mad 🤷‍♂️ I wanna see more of him 👍

If I may, let me shortly portrait step by step my experience with Chris this GBB: Elim: Chris thewhatnow? Who that? Goatenberg...? Yeah, never heard much of him... vs Dice: Wait, how did he win this? Dice clearly was better! vs BizKit: Hmmm yeah, it´s alright, nothing to special... vs Rythmind: Haha nice, he even helps Rythmind! Relistening the rounds now: God damn how did I sleep on this guy for so long?!

I think that's my favorite battle of the entire gbb. Bizkits "Mindbrain" is so mininalistic in a way but it sounds perfect and slabs hard. Chris's rounds are so beautiful and hearing sinners really surprised me and he performed it perfectly. For me this battle is better than Bizkit VS Frosty in my opinion

À propos du 1er round de Bizkit.. il y a une snare! C'est même le TOUT premier son qu'il enregistre. C'est pas un son compact mais dans le mix elle a beaucoup de reverb et plus de brillance, c'est le contrepoids idéal avec l'infrabasse qui lui sert de kick, j'ai trouvé ça parfait. 🙏

Oh man. Chris was a dark horse in this competition, but he truly deserved to be in top 4. I don't understand why people hate him and write awful comments. It is disrespectful. I completely agree with you, @BreZ. If you (not you actually, but the hater) have something against singing or style in general - come get the place in the elim and then in the battles. Also worth mentioning, that Chris's second round against Dice is my second favourite in the entire GBB 2021. First one is of course Robin

Im going to be honest, Chris seems like a very genuine and awesome dude in general. His singing voice is also super pretty and angelic. But overall i dont like his style, flow, or overall delivery of his songs. But nothing against him, i also think that he deserved the win against dice. But again, there were alot of sound problems at the GBB

MKII wasn't out at the time and only Robin and Rythmind could use them. Having two MKI simply allows more than five tracks to be recorded, as well as having more input and track effects.

@@yyediixiv9511 Some people wanna be there just for the fun bro. And being GBB artist it provides you fun (meeting people, etc.) while also competing. And I think they also gives you free lodging, foods, etc. GBB is not always about the battles, it's about what you wanna do there, and feeling the atmosphere.

But also meeting new people, connecting with the community, having fun with people who also have the same passion. Beatbox competition is very community driven, not like sports and esports where if you don't win you don't get anything. And that's why we love this community with the same passion.

to me i feel chris had a better two rounds his routines were very pleasing to the ears.. Bizkit his two rounds were very chaotic way to much noise not sonically pleasing to the ears. plus bizkits second drop was off it didn't drop on time ... Major props though to all you loopers who get on stage and share your talents with the world .. being a seasoned battle dj myself I know how hard and time consuming is to create routines... Brez you are the man letting chris use your gear and giving him a routine to compete with shows how much character you have as a person ..
