Dice had a lot of sound issues during live that we couldn't hear it this video bcos it got mixed and mastered before they released it, that's why he couldn't make it . btw great reaction as always ❤️

I was in the audience right in front and I remember DICE having real trouble with Feedback on Stage so all his drops and especially his voice and the bass that came out of his deck was very mushy and indiscernible from what he might actually had in stock for us. (Probably due to bad sound check or other stuff that might affect one of those decks) Chris on the other hand had a real clear Voice and everything he did came out really enjoyable. The whole crowd felt it. So I understand the decision of the judges but technically and what DICE usually does he's a clear No.1 Champ

It was kind of a weird year due to the rushed sound checks and other issues. Chris TheOdian just came to showcase his stuff and didn't even prepare rounds for all the battles, but because Dice and a lot of other multi-device users had more troubles with the sound, he ended up going further than expected. Still his style is nice and he puts on a good show.

Since everyone already talked about the sound issues, I'll mention something else - I don't think it's a 'robbery' for the sole reason that the judges were as unbiased as they could be. Watch 21:38. In the elims, (C is Chris and D is Dice) Petebox placed D 11th and C 3rd, yet he voted for D. Beatness placed D 4th and C 6th, yet he voted for C. Saro placed D 8th and C 4th, yet he voted for D. Inkie placed D 2nd and C 5th, yet he voted for C. Zede placed D 6th and C 12th, yet he voted for C. All 5 of the judges voted opposite to the order in which they ranked Chris and Dice's elims, so it's clear that there's no inherent bias to either artist's style

They edited the audio insanely. Dices battle rounds were hard to listen to live: the feedback was intense and frequent. And his bass was mixed too high and everything bled together. Sinjo edited the audio sooo well it’s not even recognizable

Loop battles in general are very hard to judge purely based on the mixed audio in the KZfaq videos. The decisions depend a lot on the power and the cleanliness of the live audio and if there were any issue like massive feedback which you can't hear in the video. Dice musically and conceptually took the W for most people, but his sound issues were insane live to the degree that it was unlistenable.

Online, Dice definitely won, there's literally no debate. It feels really shitty that Dice lost because of sound issues, which is out of his control. If you didn't know already, GBB2022 is being canceled so SBX can work on fixing all of their issues and controversies that emerged this year. They don't pay the beatboxers, they lock them into dooshy contracts, and now the sound is not even good. Hopefully they can fix this in 2023, because I still love SBX as a whole and I want them to improve.

Already stated in the comments but I'm gonna add a little bit as to why Dice lost. Many people think he got robbed the win. This year's GBB had a lot of issues, one of them being about the sound. The Artists apparently couldn't hear themselves properly on stage and on top of that, the soundcheck was really short and inconsistent. I heard some Artists only got a minute, which is wayyyyy to less especially for a loopstation with so many sounds that need to be mixed properly to the venue's sound system and to not have feedback. (Source: Madox's Video with River' about GBB) This was Dice's greatest weakness in this battle. I remember staying up to watch Dice on the livestream and being a little disappointed. Now, although sometimes you can still hear the feedback, the mix really got improved by Sinjo (audio guy for SBX). That's why in the video he sounds way better and that's also why many don't see / hear why he lost. It's sad as I'm a huge fan of Dice and would've loved to see more rounds of him in live performance. But he assured that he will be back! :D Also: GBB is cancelled for next year (seemingly as there were many problems this year that need to be fixed). I think it's a good decision, especially for the Artists. I recommend watching Madox' video with River' if you want to further understand this. Also, this was someone's comment on the original video, just reposting - "You have to remember it sounds very different live than even on the live stream. I remember being in the 3rd row or something and I couldn't hear anything else than Dice's bass and a faint snare and the occasional feedback. Had no idea what chords were going on or anything. I could not enjoy his rounds even if they were incredible in composition." I don't think it's Dice's fault, it's just that the sound checks weren't properly managed so the loopers didn't get to test their sounds properly

This battle was really nc, i enjoyed both of their rounds but dice lost because he had sound issues and it didnt sound well perfect in live

If I had just watched this video with the really well mixed audio I would’ve thought dice won easily as well.

the audio quality from the video really makes me feel like Dice deserved this one, its a shame about the sound issues live

Dice was by far my favorite elimination round also, but I couldn't believe how close this one felt to me the first time I heard it. I personally gave a slight edge to Dice but I think how should have come a bit harder to make sure he made it to the next round

Gotta say, like the others said, DICE had INSANE sound problems, you just could not hear 50% of his rounds. And on top of that, they were not his best ones anyway. but with that said, it was not his fault, he had virtually no sound check and he had to change pretty much all the parameters on his devices and it just didnt work out in the end, which is so sad.

I think the fact that Chris was super suprised says it all

despite any sound issues and i prefer dice in this battle i do think that you shouldn't be able to touch your device unless your timer is ticking down, everything should be from scratch each round. can't wait for you to hear robin's first round in his battle against bizkit, that's how you battle, you'll see cliff :)

You may be spoiled from rythmind vs brez, but you'll be a straight brat after Bizkit vs Robin. Best battle of the comp imo.

I liked Dice's sets WAY more, but he had some major timing issues. Especially in the second round. Enough to where it could have gone either way considering you're judging for perfection at this level

I voted for Dice too, but I think Chris won for 2 reasons. Less machines, and more technicality. Dice went for more simple jumpy beats. Chris had more little details.

Dice was just so messy live, the video is mixed really well so you almost don't notice any of that.

unfortunately Dice had sound issues- he explained it under orginal video. I think his rounds still been amazing. and I prefer them over other ones. he's absolutely spectacular artist. Chris is also amazing but my heart goes for Dice. ❤🤘

I don’t care about dice having sound issues. That doesn’t make Odian’s rounds any better. And they were pretty rough, no structure, the beats didn’t go with the singing which was off tune for the most part. Of course I was not there so I can only imagine but I’m looking at the public and they are raving to dice’s rounds and basically standing idle waiting for Odian to be done with his. Plus even Odian could hardly believe he had won, when the judges announced it.
