Modified ace Tim Brown reached a milestone at Bowman Gray Saturday night, getting his 100th victory in the Modified division. Brown got his first win in 1998 and is the all time winningest driver at the stadium.
This win came in a 25 lap feature where he sat on the pole and led every lap. Burt Myers started right behind Brown and was able to get close enough several times to give him some light bumps on the bumper bar.
Brown said in victory lane if Myers would've spun him out, Myers wouldn't have finished the race either, but he also gave Myers credit for knowing the points situations and not pushing the issue.
Brown says he can remember sitting up in the stands as a fan watching the races and wanting to be a racer.
