I love that for every award show performance that SVT did was always arranged different. Not one performance was the same.

Because Seventeen's performance was for the Gayo Daejeon, which is one of Korea's famous end of the year award shows, and it was held at the end of 2020, the audience sounds weird because I don't think there is a real audience there. That is why this was a live taping and not an actual live show. Because of health restrictions and social distancing, live performances use "laugh track" prerecorded audience noise these days to give you the feel of a live performance, but the audience is not at the venue. That's why the audience was so quiet in the beginning and why they don't show the audience. Usually during these award shows you get more footage of the audience than you do the performances, so that's one benefit of not having an audience, you get better camera work and everything is more focused on the stage. :D However, the trade off is you also don't get to hear the awesome fanchants and the performers are not playing to the crowd. Which takes a way a lot of the fun of live performances.

As others said, no audience due to covid. If you want live audience, you should watch their earlier performances. I recommend their Gaon Chart Awards performances (2018 and 2019 are both great), their MAMA performances (2015 collab with Monsta X, 2016 with GFriend, and 2018) or their Golden Disk Awards performances (especially the iconic 33th GDA one with Oh My, Clap and Getting Closer). Audience going crazy guarantedd in all those 😂

This was a good performance, as all Seventeen's ones are, but I was mesmerized by the GDA and the TMA 2020, so creative!!!

They will have another japanese comeback in april ... Hitorijanai (＾∇＾)ﾉ♪.. Btw there's no live audience since 2020 so that was only record.. For live performance they usually done a one prerecorded and then one live, that why they wear different clothes for different perf.

I highly recommend you to react to Seventeen’s GDA 2021 performance! They performed Fearless and Left & Right. They really showcased a different version of L&R and gave it a classier feel! Seventeen are really diverse performers.

SVT always do something diff on their live stages. I mentioned this on your 1st SVT live perf reaction. For this, the change up on LEFT&RIGHT was on the intro. There was a rearrangement on the music and the dance break was not on the orig choreo. Also for MYMY, they released a Christmas ver. which was what you saw here but it originally has a cheerful and full on choreo as well.

You should check out their 2020 Golden Disk Awards (GDA) stage. You'll probably like it.

OH! I also suggest you check out SVT's Golden Disk Awards 2021 performance!! it was beautiful!! The arrangement for Left & Right in that performance was CRAZY good!

Chris, thanks for this reaction! Subscribed to you! 👍 This was a Christmas remix of MyMy, and a remix for this performance only of Left&Right. (Which were both released in the same album in June of last year.) Also SVT are known in the industry as the kings of knife-like choreo (or that synchronized choreo) that even in their more relaxed choreos like My My and L&R, they're still in sync... And nobody in the industry is doing it like them!!! :) I think you might enjoy watching and reacting to their My My and music video and dance practice (it's a b-side track of Left and Right ---but because SVT are performance kings, they make choreos for their b-sides --because they're one of the few Kpop groups that do not put out filler tracks in their albums! 👍)

i thihnk you'd really enjoy the dance practices of my my and especially left & right!!!! this performance for both had lots of changes - my my was shorter and they took out half the choreo to make it a fun chill christmassy thing, and left & right they added a new beginning and changed up other bits inbetween. i LOVE how often they do this for all their live stages, it's always fun to see how every single performance is different, but i think you'd really enjoy the full, normal left & right choreo too!!

fyi, 24H, My My and Left&Right released during the pandemic so it was most likely wasn't the real audience who cheered for them :D

24H coming out in 2020 really makes me wonder what they would've done with it if award shows had been live and not pre-recorded. Since they could just film the performances in their own time in a studio they were always able to have the grid on the ground. But what if it had been a regular award show season and they'd have to share the stage with other artists, with all the logistical restrictions that entails? Would they have tried to perform it anyway but without the grid? Would they just not have performed it at all, since this was a Japanese single and they weren't obligated to perform it in Korea in the first place? Would they have considered that when the choreo was made and 2020 being what it was is the only reason the 24H choreo exists in its current form? So many possibilities.
