I’m really diggin the clean and less aggressive fades a lot more now days. They tend to stay fresh longer than skin fades too. Thanks for this vid!

Iam been cutting my own hair this way for few months but now growing it out. First i do clipper over comb as guideline to further finish with fade below. that way i get this type of head shape.

Chris, very dope video man. Finally something besides a bald face. We need to start getting educated on Different cuts besides bald fades and tapers. Please show us more haircuts like these, they are very helpful cause to be honest in my case, more than half of my clients Do not like bald and like to keep length. My problem is my clipper placement. I still have the habit of digging in the hair at the Parietal ridge/ blend area instead of going up an out, shaping to the clients head. Even if I set my 3 guard first at my perimeter I always end up digging in and sometimes I even start chasing the line and going higher. I realized it when a returning client came in and I saw my mistakes in how I cut it. It makes a big difference.

Even if I flick my clipper out. I’m working on my mechanics and a softer touch. It feels like I’ve been cutting wrong for a while. Not that it’s a bad cut but they look different when cut to the shape of the clients head rather then just going through the motions of a haircut. If that makes sense

Anything other than a skin fade or shadow should start with a detachable clipper imo a number 1 on a detachable comes out a little shorter than a plastic guard but comes out damn smooth not like plastic guards.

What are peoples opinion on choosing cordless or corded clippers? Reviews say corded but I never see the experts on KZfaq cut with them? Only thing I can think is so wire doesn't get in the way of filming the shot.

Theirs no performance customization on that babyliss ?! Last time I checked all you “known” barbers get special blades that make the cut extra crispy and better than the original blade.

The blade I’m using is available now.. I didn’t modify the blade or motor or anything like that.. I wouldn’t say “known” either lots of barbers that aren’t known get there hands on prototypes .. they are just looking for barbers they can trust to test their products and won’t leak the products.. these products could be horrible or great remember they are prototypes and they are trying to improve the product with feedback. A lot of these relationships are made at expos and shows too. Barbers who network with ambassadors or brands get hooked up.. I’ve met brand Leaders such as CEOs and owners by literally going to pre-parties for these shows myself.. many of these brands you can sign up directly through their websites to get access to these products they’ll just have you sign an NDA.. good luck

Dude every time I go to a barber and ask for a burst fade, they give me a high and tight. No fucking fade. Its pissing me off. What do I tell them? It seems like 90% of barbers have zero clue how to do anything outside of buzzing the sides.
