im a barber for 8 years, and you inspired me alot, and i always can learn from you, i live in a small town have a very busy barbershop but ive alot of dead hours during the week on the morning, i found that grooming pets if you already a barber its actually very easy, went for the course for it, made 1 part of the shop just from grooming pets, and my friend its amazing, all this cause i always was inspired for you, from your path, keep going man

Honestly what made me quick was once you got your system down start trying to learn techniques that can cut down on time. Figure out areas you can speed up on and commit to learning how to achieve that consistently. Your time will go down and it will naturally be your new cutting time. Also do a rough draft of your haircut in the first 10 minutes. Then go back and detail it. You will visually be able to see everything you need to fix because the haircut will be 80% done already it will stand out more to you. Quality over speed but if you can master both its a deadly combination. I take 15-20minutes on my clients. And i dont have to rush or go super fast and stress myself outor scare the client out of my chair. I just move a steady consistent pace. The time saving is in the techniques and steps you take

I've been getting into barbering a lot lately and been cutting a lot so I want to see if I can pull this off.

What comes with working there is definitely a great opportunity but if someone is struggling they may not be able to afford it. Jus sayin we never kno someone’s situation so that POSSIBLY could be the reason for asking although that may not be the situation in most cases. Respect what u meant by it tho brutha. Sometimes we jus gotta take those chances n understand the situation 💪🏾..Keep Motivating King
@Bossiocuts
@Bossiocuts 2 жыл бұрын
I disagree.. shops with higher booth rents typically do it because the value is there… you have to make money to be able to pay the rent.. I’m not saying never ask what booth rent is, I’m saying don’t lead with it because you need to know value before you ask for price… if I can guarantee you first week you’d make $1000 at booth rent of $200 a week with much higher growth potential because we promote the shop versus just telling you both rent is $125… which one would you take? Most shops just want their rent regardless of what you’re making

@@Bossiocuts mos definitely. Im not necessarily trying to disagree.. it was more of how u said it. It was very blunt n some newcomers may get the wrong message out of what you’re saying if they dont understand that.

@@PresPrada hmmm I’ll have to rewatch it.. we are talking about employment tho right? Find out what the value is so you can see if rent is worth it…don’t turn down a opportunity to make more money because your first question is how much is rent and you’re looking for the cheapest deal. most people starting a job can’t afford any rent if they aren’t making income, I hope no one assumes that’s what I’m saying 🙏 I appreciate your feedback, gonna rewatch the video

I have my own barbershop. I was giving 30 minutes appointments but I've decided to give 20 minute appointments (haircut and styling) . I only wash their head if I am going to do color service. This gives me 2 free hours per Day, instead of working 8 hours, 2 haircuts per hour, 16 haircuts per Day, I work 6 hours per Day, 3 haircuts per hour, 18 haircuts per Day. More money and more free time. I work 2 hours in the morning (6 haircuts) and 4 hours in the afternoon (12 haircuts). I hope this helps!! Greets from Argentina!! 🙌✂️🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷

I'm curious... I own 3 shops in Pa. I'm thinking of switching from % to chair rent. Do you do rent or %? If rent, how did you decide on a fair, yet profitable price? Some people do day chair rent.. wifi l which is more at the end of the week. Versus weekly. Example: daily is $50.00 a day... x6 days... if 300a week. Versus a weekly is 250 or 225. Thoughts? Input is appreciated.

It depends on a few things most barbers prefer booth rental ,commission you as the owner should always come out making more if everyone is busy booth rental is better for the barbers ,if your thinking about renting your booths out think about how much your overall overhead is and how much is the shop price for walkins the booth rent can’t be 300 if a hair cut is 20 the bast cut should start at 30

I've been thinking about the 6 figure method. Is it really true that barbers can make 6 figures? I mean on average barbers make $21,000 a year. So is the difference in how much you make how much you charge? Or is it if you live in a highly populated area? How does it go from 22k average to 100k? I'm starting barber school soon so I am really wanting to know.

Sure if you wanna be busy all day every day every week. This industry has no handouts and no breaks. So if you love high competition , on your feet all day. Talking to a different person every 30min - 1hr. And mentally capable of putting out a fire haircut each time. Then yes. After/during all that you can start branding yourself on the internet. If you do it well enough you can get sponsors / endorsed etc and even sell your own products. Boosting you into the $100k + bracket. It's an amazing industry but it's Def not easy or for everyone (Barber for 7yrs currently) I'm in a burnout. I need a vacation, but I'm still in the shop killing these cuts and giving it my all. My pride won't let me be mediocre. Goodluck.
