I don't know if it's just me but the body language of Margaret Martin when Chris is spitting his human and honest words is so heartwarming to me. I totally get that everyone there is exhausted beyond measurement but seeing her still being focused on what he says, looking at him, nodding her head, and being one of the first to clap for him is amazing to see. Especially under these circumstances. And also the way Chris and Terrence treat each other - kind, down to earth, empathetic for each other. I wanna see way more of that.

I’m fairly young in the grand scheme of things at 23 so I didn’t grow up with Arnold and Ronnie and the other legends. But to me Chris is the only bodybuilder that I can say is a role model to me. Not even mentioning the physique. The pose, dedication, humbleness, integrity, attitude, overall the way he carries himself is so admirable and so much more human and likable than most bodybuilders, no hate intended towards any of them.

This video gave me chills multiple times. Honestly Calvin, Chris, Courtney, Mel, Iain, this is an incredible piece of work. Congrats Champ! Can’t wait to see what you bring to the stage next year!

When I was a kid in the 80's a man came in to Ironworks Gym the last week before he competed in the Mr. San Jose. He took his sweat shirt off and his skin was peeled just like Chris. It was the first time I had ever seen a bodybuilder that close up and in shape for a show. The whole gym went silent...it was weird because it seemed like we all did it out of respect for this mans hard work, and being in the last part of his journey. This is where I promised myself that if I ever did a competition, I would enjoy and remember the journey....because there was more memories the journey to get on stage, then in my 60 second posing routine and my 20 minutes of a comparison round. When I started watching this it had 2000 Views, when I finished it had 12.5k that's it how eagerly people were waiting for it.

What strikes me the most when I watch him in the gym is his maturity. He looks ten years older than he is. Maturity in body, but also in presence. This just reinforces the mental connection I make between him and Steve Reeves. Reeves had class. He wasn't loud, didn't boast. Was respectful. There was an 'air' about him that truly made him the Hercules he played on-screen. Chris is the embodiment (pun intended) of the legacy of Reeves. (With his own qualities in there too, of course.)

Re-watching this for the 10th time or so, and at 10:26 when dude behind you says "I'm gonna put my shirt back on", thats how you know the hard work and dedication REALLY shows.
