I just got the notification and before I even watch this video I would like to tell you some things. Chess pie is my all time favorite dessert and it's honestly surprising to me how many people have never heard of it. My mother, whom we lost during covid (but not to covid. Complications from aggressive cancer,) would make me this pie when I asked for it, every few years. It was such a special thing to me, and seeing the title of this video just....makes my heart happy. Thank you for that, Ms Chris.

I came to a screeching halt while scrolling KZfaq, because of the beautiful, perfect pie picture that I recognized immediately--that's a chess pie! (My momma also, used to make it just only like once a year, as another commentator mentioned).
