Chrisette Michele explains why she joined R&B Divas: LA and what her experience has been.
VISIT OUR SITE: bit.ly/KK8Af7
If you watched last season of “R&B Divas LA” you know cast newbie Chrisette Michele didn’t have the warmest relationship with fellow castmate Chante Moore. While Chrisette was hoping Chante might be a bit of a mentor to her as she further establishes her career in the industry, Chante was so not about that life and when the “Be OK” singer stopped by the office to talk about the show and her new ventures, she told us she’s finally okay with that.
Chrisette admitted that she’s working on thickening her skin and accepting that not everyone is going to want to be your friend, but has the R&B Diva’s skin gotten tough enough to handle the harsh critics of the TV One reality show? Check out what she had to say about that and more in the video above.

I've never heard Chante Moore breathe a word about this girl, Chrisette. She really disappointed me because in one breath she acknowledged that Chante is NOT her peer but a forebear of artistic significance who deserved respect and deference. But in the next she's disparaging Chante as if she were just another singer (she is NOT).

+BronzeVenus. There is a difference between giving someone their respect and due, and giving them deference. While Chante Moore does deserve respect for talent and her accomplishments in the industry, she does not automatically entitled to be deferred to simply because she is a singer of note who came before Chrisette. Deference is a respectful yielding or submitting to another's person will/opinion/ etc. That is something you earn from an individual, not something you can demand. And while I love me some Chante Moore, I think half her issues on that show is that she thinks she entitled to be deferred to.

Chante Moore was clearly going through her own emotional issues therefore was not equipped to mentor anyone during the show.

This chick still talking about Chante Moore?? She didnt want to be your friend so get over it. Chrisette ruined the season with her obsession with Chante Moore and was even worse at the reunion. Just do your thing and stop bothering about the next chick.

Seeing her on the show made see her in a different way and it wasn't good. She comes across as a conceited, snobby person.

+MadameNoire Well, its as I said before. She has a conceited personality. Number 1, They can only edit what you give them. Number 2, she acted the same way in season 3 that she did in season 2. Stacy Francis attempted to make friends with Chrisette and she ignored Stacy. She admittedly said she was ignoring Stacy and not acknowledging her presence. Don't let Chrisette play the victim card. I love her music, but she is snobbish person

+JLPerryTV Agreed. It made her seem very self-important and personally indulgent. Not everyone has to be interested in teaching the next generation in the way you find works for you (for example). She is an example of a woman who needs not involve herself in reality shows.

I LOVE Chrisette Michele as a singer, but her being on the show I hate to say this, but she got on my damn nerves... b/c she expects every fucking thing to be white roses and white horses & that's just not realistic. She comes off as too sensitive. I love her as a artist, but her being on the show like this I'm going to have to say no.

She would of been your friend, if you wasn't nagging the lady. I didn't see you telling Chante your business but mad because she didn't shares hers. Leela needs to be off this show. I don't think I would watch if Leela comes back, she bought nothing to the show.

Leela brought sanity to the show...Everybody doesn't need to act up in order to be relevant..I don't think that Chrisette nagged her at all.I think Chante felt threatened by Chrisette & Leela.

I love Chrisette Michele!!! She is extremely talented and versatile from r&b to hip hop, jazz and classical-full spectum in her musical style and she has her own sound..The show is another phase to the entertainment experience for Chrisette and she will learn and grow from it but it's too bad they want sisters to constantly be portrayed as pure drama and ghetto. It's as though the producers of these tv shows create scenarios that pit the women against one another.

I didn't see the whole season so I can't speak about Chante/Chrisette's relationship before them being in the studio recording the Puerto Rico project. But since that time, I didn't see anything so terrible about Chante that made Chrisette luxuriate so deeply in her feelings the way she did. What I *did* see was Chante going through a custody battle and having a herniated disc in her back to the point where she had to be carted off in an ambulance. Clearly she had more going on in her life than mentoring Chrisette. I get being disappointed but I don't get being so hurt over someone who has no obligation to you not making you a priority in their life. By the end of the season, it was like Chante and Mo were just ganging up on her for no real reason. And no, *****, I am not a fan of her music. I thought I'd might be because I loved her voice when they were recording the PR project but her overly sensitive yet amazingly selfish outlook on life turned me off. But, I'm glad she's done being disappointed with Chante Moore.

I couldn't bring myself to watch the show because I hate reality tv and I was afraid of how it would change my perception of my two favorite singers: Chante Moore and Chrisette Michele. I've been hoping these two would perform together for years and form a strong bond as phenomenal singers. From what I understand and am hearing, that's not likely. I wish performers would avoid reality tv because they're designed to bring out the very worst for our bloodthirsty society. I love both of them so much and wish them all the success this life can bring...

It’s very pathetic because it made Chrisette look very conceited and snobby. She also fueled that lie about Stacy being slapped by Whitney which wasn’t true. Chante also lied about everything involving the custody battle Kenny over their kid. She needed a storyline so she dragged him through the mud with fake news. Both of them should have never done the show

Ooooh her look here is very vampy! I like it and she looks like Janet Jackson! You know Chante is pretty sensitive as well if That statement about her having all these pink elephants to address upset her. See Chrisette and Chante are very much alike. That's why they can't get along. I hope Chante is in a better space this upcoming season and I hope they can work out their issues. But if not....Chrisette's focus needs to be the music and her projects.

The only thing she is stating is that Chante's criticism of her were dark - bringing in dark energy of who she was trying to be. Chante maybe a talented beautiful singer - but she is no angel. She is a fallen being like the rest of mankind. I love Chante - I grew up looking up to her. So to always hear only good things about a person, falsify our reality of who we are. Because of how we idolize each other. If Chante need to have introspective moment on how she treated her, she needs to know how it affected her. Then forgive each other and move on...

sounds a little selfish to me, how dare you put a responsibility on someone to cater to you, chante lost her brother, her mother, and had went through a divorce. maybe she was not in the mental state to be these things you wanted her to be. but that doesn't mean you couldn't offer up some type of empathy and y'all could have developed a bond that type of way. sounds like you're all about me me me, as if people that have gained the success don't go through problems and need people as well. 6:31 you just said she gave you pointers, but like a lot of other newcomers it sounds like you were jealous of her recognition, and probably felt intimidated. I feel like whether she wanted to be friends with you or not you still were going to feel the way you feel because even associates can be cordial. I've had times where no matter what I did and how nice I was the same people still hated me, didn't want to look at my face or even speak to me, and I couldn't understand why or what I did. but people are just like that they don't like your energy and they won't fool with you.

i think chrisette is a talented n underrated songwriter & artist.......there are some folk who can navigate reality tv very well (faith evans/omarian).....and come away unscathed and their rep intact....and there are others who have no business on reality tv because the producers do not need to edit or massage to make them look bad as they do a great job of that on their own(nicci gilbert, syleena johnson, kelly price, angie stone).......i give faith credit as soon as she sensed that the train was heading for a cliff...she xited stage left with the quickness.....chrisett did not come across as concieted or snobby to me.......the show was called R&B divas.....stacy francis's only claim to fame has been one music reality show......she is clearly no spring chicken.... she has never had a major record deal and never released a chart topping album.......how could she be an r&B diva......why was she even signed to the show?....she was all up in whitney's face trying to act as if she was in the click.....and that's why whitney checked her........we do not know what went on behind the scenes that caused chrisett to right her off and ignore her........we are all only human....there are some folk u meet that you instantly gravitate too and like right off the bat n then there are folks that you meet and they don't need to say a word...you take an instant dislike too them and repell them........thats all about vibe n energy...i did not get conceit from chrisett i got cautious......reality tv is not for everyone and i am glad she became smart enough to step away....

I met Megan thee stallion and she didn't say much to me either, so I just asked for a picture and kept it moving, y'all fans kill me with thinking folks not human and don't get tired or have bad days with y'all constantly thinking they supposed to be upbeat and ready to give y'all attention. It's got to be exhausting 🤦she could have walked off and said nothing, but because she said only a few words (she full of herself) now you want to judge her and paint a bad image of her. Have you ever brushed people off in the public, sales people, homeless people, christians talking about the word of God, kids selling cookies, etc.... Have you not had days were you didn't want to communicate, short with people and was ready to go home? I'm sure there were hundreds of more people trying to talk as well, is she supposed to stop and have long conversation and not continue her day? Why are celebrities expected to be different or super humans.
