Last year I found out that he went to my mum’s secondary school, he was a few years older than her so she didn’t meet him, but every time I hear Driving Home For Christmas it reminds me of that☺️

Christmas time does not start until "Driving Home for Christmas" is played. For me it is the most emotional Christmas song. It reflects the anticipation of seeing our adult children again, coming home from all over the country. Thank you so much for this song!

In September 1989 my father borrowed a 1984 Jaguar XJ6 from a friend. I was 17 and I was allowed to drive it - couldn't believe my luck. It came with a tape stuck in the tape deck. "On the Beach" - by somebody called "Chris Rea". I had no choice but to listen to it as I drove. Looking back the second best thing about 1989 was the XJ6. Sweet September, I remember...

It touches my heart, when I hear this song, I think of my son who drives home for Christmas every year. I shared it with him and he said he'll be listening to this song as she drives home this year. It simply warms the heart and makes you feel that loving family Christmas Spirit emotion. I immediately purchased it for my playlist. It is one of my top favorites Christmas songs. Just beautiful :)

This is the best contemporary Christmas song ever. Meeting friends and family for Christmas is the heartfelt message of this song. The rolling piano riff and Chris's slide guitar give the song that special sound. Thank you Chris for this stroke of genius.

I am here in the US and I have never heard this song until yesterday, it’s playing on a music service at work. I love the piano and this song makes me happy. Even Nat King Cole would love this song. I must have it in my car before the season ends.
