Biggest improvement to My beats is understanding EQ and mixing, though not perfect it's way better then I was 10 years ago. Alot of the beats I made back in 07 would of been dope if I had got the mix and EQ better but I regularly go back and fix old projects because it was in My 20s that I was most creative and theres still value in that for Me.

@@Chrisreedbeats Its all about using EQ on the individual stems or tracks so give it it's own space in the overall mix keeping the peaks down as best as possible and removing resistant or unwanted frequencys of each sound without sucling the life out of it. There is such a thing as to much EQ at times. On the same topic I am currently having an argument with a KZfaq producer telling Me Reasons mixer might look like the SSL 9000 but it sounds nothing like it and is just a skin he says. He is basically trying trash Reasons mixer. What's your thoughts on that?

That sounds like me. We are in the same boat. That led me to learning how to mix and now I’m a beast at it.

@@HOLLASOUNDS replicate analog sound into a digital space is very difficult. We tread the line of emulation and replication. How can it ever be the same warm analog sound of voltage going through circuitry?? How could you create virtual mixer tracks on a physical machine? The answer is you can’t with either. It’s manipulating 1s and 0s to recreate a sound and a feeling. Does it filter out audio like the ssl? I say yes. I have used the mixer before in a community college course in my city. Does it boost and cut Eq or add compression correctly? Yes. Can you change the order of sound manipulation so that compression happens after Eq or vice versa, yes. Can a digital sound be and analog sound? Ehhh what is that argument really!? 😂😂😂 they are two different things in two totally different spaces.

@@Professor_Pat I need your break down step by step in a zoom call or something then cause being a beast at it sounds like mastery to me and I’m trying to master that skill. Mixing is just a tedious hit or Miss task for my at this stage 🤷🏾‍♂️
