Just tried this August 24, 2024. Worked like a charm! I used the 3rd option you showed, as it seemed simpler. It is ridiculous how Microsoft has elected to not only force new hardware on Users to run Win11, but also how they have tried to force us to use a Microsoft account. Anyway, thanks for the excellent video Chris!

It's because you have a older win 11 version that doesn't have the anti circumvent files.

August 28-2024 the command; oobe\bypassnro worked for me, Windows doesn’t allow you to open the command window by pressing shift plus F 10 anymore if your keyboard has the function key Fn, After pressing shift Press FN and then F10 and the command window is gonna open, After I enter the command, I turn off my modern and I was able to bypass the registration. Thanks! It worked. It didn't give me a "choice" of adding a local account, and didn't ask for an email, but it created a local account.

2nd methos worked for me on asus zenbook. I had to use Fn+Esc to lock my function keys 1st because F10 is my camera key as well. Shift+F10 worked after i did that

Here's an easy way. Install an old version of Windows 11, using whichever trick you like, then upgrade to the newer version.

Unfortunately when you first start the computer it asks you to connect to the internet, it then immediately connects to the server and updates. I have setup laptops recently that were manufactured well over 6 months since Microsoft made this change and they still don't allow you to bypass the ms account.

@@cwtek1 Download the older ISO (personally I used 22H2), disconnect from your network, clean install, use whichever old trick you use to bypass the MS account, setup your local account, the use the Windows Update to get to the latest version, and the job's a good one. I've done it with a netbook and a laptop and had no issues. Must admit I do the same with Windows 10 now as well.

I had planned on putting of Windows 11 until October at least. Now I'm wondering if I should load it now before they close all the local account work arounds. Your opinion on this? Also considering Linux and leaving Windows behind.

On the command screen, on yours it has a c:\windows but on mine it has x:\windows and mine says command completed successfully. But then it says oobe\msoobe is not recognized.......what can I do now?.....target practice?

The command box does show up. Help I've tried shift f10 and function f10 The busy icon comes on the mouse for a fraction of a second and disappears I've tried to close the network flow in task manager All that does is bring up the you've been disconnected from the internet message

None of this works as late August on the Lenovo laptop : with a explanation as to why✓...the problem is , I made a mistake and connected the laptop to my Wi-Fi and while in the background it downloaded the needed files to fix all of these back doors . Now no matter what I do I can't circumvent this bs signin requirements. So I have to now reinstall win 11 to a earlier version without the newest , what I call " anti circumvent files" so that I can actually circumvent then use my own property.. once I get into win 11 using one of these backdoor procedures I'll be sure to really make an effort to look into new linux operating system.. Microsoft has gone way to far this time.. This is clearly to attempt to make my computer into a remote connection to there servers for surveillance... Clearly! Good luck everyone...

Yes, I had this problem too. This what worked for me. Press Fn + shift + F10 instead of shift + F10. Hope that helps you.

What pros won't tell you. If you cant use shift + F10, try Fn + shift + F10. Sometimes the keyboard on the laptop is set to function keys as default, so if you press just f10 you will be pressing a special function not the actual F10. Leave a like :)

This is extremely sinister . Can't use my property unless I sign in . This is the way they are now forcing us to allow them into our property.. Don't give in... Make temp account if needed and then start looking into Linux.. at this point I'm done with these people .
