Chris, I love your tips and I wonder if you have any suggestions to help me. I am pretty good on the range but hopeless on the course. I know everyone suffers from this to some extent but I’m an extreme case (and that’s not just false modesty). Obviously if you had the solution to this you’d be a multi-millionaire so I’m not expecting a total fix - but do you have any tips? I think I suffer from two things: an adrenaline rush makes me swing much faster, and then i tense up and grip the club too hard. The combination of the two things is a disaster on the course. Any tips would be very welcome 🙏

This has been me my entire golf life. I think we tense up just enough because we only get one shot at it versus the range. We have so much more pressure on us on the course. If you make a bad shot on the range, oh well. On the course it's different. So I have been changing the way I practice lately. Make practice as close to the real thing as you can. Make the one shot count somehow on the range. We have to learn to swing more freely on the course like we do on the range. Lowering expectations can help too. But keep the focus. One shot at a time which is easier said than done. To help with this don't think ahead too much. Play a 3 hole round, 6 times instead of thinking about playing all 18 holes and your score afterwards. I look like a scratch golfer on the range and my normal 10 handicap once I get on the course. Lol
