Practically all animals kill other animals for food and we also are animals. What's the difference.
@marianhalcombe33056 жыл бұрын
+PowerTuber 3.0 We're *self-aware* animals. As far as we know, we're the *only* self-aware animals. That's the difference. We have the power to analyze and go against instinct. Other animals (as far as we know) don't have that power. A lot of them don't value lives outside of their own families. They don't have empathy to the degree that we do. Slaughterhouses are awful places in which animals are essentially born to dle.They don't get lives. Most never see the sun. Pigs get their teeth, genitals, and tails ripped off so they don't destroy themselves when they inevitably go insane from months in a cage they can't even turn around in. Chickens are debeaked for the same reason and spend their days stuffed together in a dark, damp, ammonia ridden shed. That's not natural. Hunting is far more natural, but assuming you get your meat from the grocery store, these animals have been through hel*. Eating veg may not be normal, but you can't say it's amoral. By what means? Now, a veg may not be morally superior to a carnivore... but if animal abuse is considered amoral and can result in imprisonment, the statement that refusal to eat the animals (i.e. support a system of consistent animal cruelty) is a moral decision is justified.

I would quibble with her on one thing she said: "Everything that lives, lives off of something else that lives." ( 07:03 ) That is an argument made by meat-eaters to try to justify eating meat; the "you're killing the plants you're eating" shtick. But it simply isn't true: many foods that veg*ns eat _are not alive,_ such as fruits, seeds and grains. The plants and trees which produce them have evolved to make their fruits, seeds, nuts, etc., appealing to animals to be eaten -- often for seed dispersal. Papaya tress "want" their fruit to be eaten; they fall on the forest floor, and local frugivores come along and eat them, and poop the seeds a mile away. Nuts are not "living", neither are seeds. There is no detectible life within them (there only is with seeds, if the conditions are changed to cause them to sprout). So, no: NOT everything that lives, lives off of something else that lives. It is quite possible to live off of things that are no longer alive.

@spaceengineer14523 жыл бұрын

@jkmorrison10133 жыл бұрын
"Fetus" = "an unborn offspring of a mammal, in particular an unborn human baby more than eight weeks after conception." No sane, logical rational thinking human being would say that something is NOT human and then all of sudden, or slowly,, somehow becomes "Human." a puppy is a dog. a kitten is a cat. a fetus, which I is Latin for "‘pregnancy, childbirth, offspring.’ is a human being. To those who vainly try to deny the incredibly obvious because it suits their wicked purpose, I say to them. "If it is not human, or a "baby," then just leave it alone. if it is not human, with eyes, ears, mouth, head, stomach, veins, nerves, digestive system, sexual organ evident enough to identify gender while still in thew womb, then how can it become human? there's no need to rip it apart to an inhuman death. there's no need to let him or her die on a table with no care because he or she survived a botched abortion, which is what the democrats pushed through Congress this year. Well, Hitler said Jews were not human, and look what he did. what abortionists do is just a insane and wicked.

@@spaceengineer1452 Sorry Beatle 9, but your argument has more holes than Joe Biden's brain. I have several relatives who have adopted unwanted children and some of them of different races. Unwanted children do suffer, of course, for a multitude of reasons. But we have first established that they are "children" "babies" (at first) and "Human". not just a blob of foreign tissue. No one can stop all of the suffering in this world, so what is your solution: Kill them before they are born?! The age old argument of the baby killer is "Who is going to take care of all these unwanted children? We have to kill them." The answer is simple" the parents of the children who brought them into the world in the first place. If they won't, and we know that many don't, and there are not other relatives who will, then they become wards of the state or are adopted. some turn out very well, some don't. some children raised in loving homes by their "biological" parents don't turn out well either. that is not the issue here, the issue is the murder of unborn human beings. And no, I am not a vegetarian, but have nothing against anyone who is. Cows and chickens etc. are not human but were put on this Earth to feed people with immortal souls.

The only problem with this is that if you go to any integrative physician, they will tell you of patients who have been on probiotics, supplements and a vegetarian diet for 3 years and have constant stomach pain because their guts just cannot physically handle hard to digest veggies and sugars from most fruits. It literally causes them pain 24/7. Meat is one of the only things they can eat that doesn't cause them issues. But those physicians will also tell you that they tell their clients to only eat antibiotic, organic meat and wild caught fish, and to eat as little as possible and to eat as many easy to eat veggies like spinach and squash to help build up anti-inflammatory systems. So I don't agree with her that eating meat is completely unnecessary. In fact, I know a person who eats meat and nothing else and has less digestive issues than she's had in her entire life. All veggies cause her bloating and enormous pain. But again, we are talking about a person who only gets her meat from organic farms, and she makes sure to make use of the entire animal. So I have issues with accusing such people as immoral, cruel animal killers. If it comes down to living in a life with pain and 24/7 digestive issues, humans come first. The problem is that most humans do not have digestive issues like this, and when they do eat meat, they eat meat that is treated in the most inhumane ways possible. The cheap non-organic meat that you find in typical grocery stores. I respect anyone who adopts a veggie or vegan diet, but I feel they need to understand that unlike what they feel, that diet is literally intolerable for some human beings. That being said, if we reduced meat consumption to those who truly need it, we would see a massive reduction of animal suffering, health issues, etc. The world would be a better place.

A vegan will tell you and not sell to you. A doctor can not exist unless he has lots of sick people to sell drugs to. So that's why i don't trust anything they say! By the way, i am a 55 year old vegan who does not even have a doctor because, " i have never been sick a day in my life!"

It's her very serious, sassy pout. Like in Talk of the Town vid. Smouldering on that day, fully on with the make up, Kid too

@@jkconstruction I have noticed that vegetarians seem to always be angry and they are all pro-government as well, meaning they are warmongerers ... I noticed in the past year that all these "HEALTH CONSCIOUS" people do not mind getting the untested vaccine... so it makes them HYPOCRITES!

She comes from the Punk scene of the 70’s, the whole angry at the world attitude that was popular

People talk about 'our ancestry' a lot, and the fact that we have always eaten meat to survive. I'm not sure why these people haven't noticed that we don't live in caves anymore. We have enormous choice. It is a choice. Folk that hunt, to me at least, are lacking something. My partner is Scandinavian, she feels the same way. Her fellow countrypeople's obsession with killing wildlife is as vexatious as it is upsetting. The term 'evolution' comes up a lot one way and another these days. I feel that the cessation of meat eating is evolutionary. Fair well to the cave!
