Chrissy Strong has emerged from a long battle with drug and alcohol addiction and has become a powerful voice for others in recovery. She is also a talented singer/songwriter, with a passion for music that started in her childhood. Despite struggles with addiction, Chrissy has never lost her love for music.
As a self-taught musician, Chrissy writes soulful, edgy piano ballads with a raw and free-flowing approach that exposes the tender and haunting aspects of love and longing, fear and desperation- in all their varied forms. But in recent years, Chrissy has discovered a new passion: using her music and spoken word to help others.
Working with different inpatient treatment centers, Chrissy has created "Music & Message" - a unique event that combines storytelling with songs that express the challenges and triumphs of substance abuse and mental health. The response to her work has been overwhelmingly positive. Chrissy has developed a devoted fan base who are moved by her brave and honest storytelling.
