"Jesus' first miracle was to transform water into wine. It was almost a foreshadowing of what He can do. He can transform things, He can transform people. I feel like that's what He's done with my life. Not about being gay -- it's never been just about that. But going from pride and not knowing, to knowing good from evil and becoming perhaps a little bit more humble than I was back then. I just love the teachings of the church around family, without that, I would not have even tried to have a family."

I can’t begin to tell you how much your story and testimony has touched my heart. I am experiencing my own Gethsemony right now and your story is a great help. Sometimes I get very discouraged and think I’m hopeless. And then I watch a podcast like this and it gives me just enough strength to get through the last half of the day. This trial is so hard, something I never thought I’d have to face. But here I am going through it . If you can make it through your trial, which I think is the worst possible trial there is, then you give me hope for making it through mine. I am elderly and have active in the Church my whole life. But this trial is humbling me and teaching me to love Jesus Christ and appreciate the atonement more than I ever thought possible. Thank you so much . I am grateful for this podcast. I didn’t think it would affect me the way it has. We are never too old to learn more. I can see God isn’t finished with me yet.

I've already figured this very difficult conundrum out... There's really only two options for faithful covenant keeping members of the church, marriage here in this life IF the person has the opportunity to or marriage during the Millennium if not got the opportunity to marry here in this life. As not everybody has got the opportunity to enter those covenants in this life. Some because of very difficult circumstances have been denied the blessings of marriage here in this life I'm been put into that situation. So instead of griping about being single and leaving the church as some have done and abandoned the covenant path to find partners outside the church, instead we have the work of giving all the others those sealing blessings of the temple (the dead) while we wait here in this life to receive our blessings or to receive them in the millennium what was denied us here. So that's the safe way and the safe way is not the easy way. The Mixed orientation marriages may work for some but don't work for everybody. So this is why it has to be done in the Lord's own time and way in this life or in the millennium.

Don't give up, hang in there ❤ I had my own Gethsemane for many years and it was frustrating and painful. Yet at the same time God was teaching me many things. Lean into it. Ask Him what He needs you to learn.. don't dismiss the things, experiences, people, books, podcasts, that come your way even if they seem unusual at the time. God has many ways of teaching us. At the end of my Gethsemane the things I had learned were priceless, and laid a foundation for me to begin using my spiritual gifts more fully. I wouldn't trade those (painful) years for anything!! Trust God. Turn to Jesus Christ to be your teacher. Blessings on your journey 🙏 🙏 🙏

The church has a great future because Christ is the leader and he is in charge. No matter what people choose to do or say, Christ will always lead his church the way it is meant to be lead. Which Christ? The one true Christ of the Bible that is God in the flesh, or the one that is Elohim’s son that he made through sex with Mary, and is also Satan’s brother? If it’s the former, I agree. If the latter, I don’t.

My husband taught in his born again church, over the pulpit, the same silly falsehoods for years, and believed them to the core. Christ came to save ALL who will let Him. Remember Christ didn’t come just to save the apologetics or the evangelicals or the Catholics or the Baptist’s who all believe each other are condemned to hell. Christ came to save ALL His creations. My husband ended up becoming a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints after trying to prove the Book of Mormon (Another Testament of Jesus Christ) wrong. He realized the garbage he believed and taught over the pulpit in his born again church was all a bunch of falsehoods and lies mixed with a little bit of truth. “Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.”-God It’s okay to disagree with what we believe, but God does not smile upon people spreading lies and falsehoods against their neighbor. ☀️❤️ Best of blessings!

I love his comment about coming unto Christ through faith or experience, because im afraid far too often we make experience out to be the only way to gain a testimony and we elevate ourselves over people who gained a testimony without going down that road. So glad that Ashli reiterated that not all of the people who go down that road make it back. Excellent message.

What a brilliant interview that offers so much hope to us all, especially prodigals. It has also helped me understand same-sex attraction in new ways and apply it to the context of spiritual testing and overcoming. It is another trial of the flesh like all trials and we should withhold all judgment while we wrestle with our own fleshly weaknesses. Thanks so much for this enlightening moment in my morning. The Church is true and just look what it can do when we believe. ❤

This man, a covenant loving and living man, who has SSA proclivities is an absolute legend! He describes what a lot of us feel; having FUN is not JOY and all of us truly can tell the difference even when we will ignore it!! Sin is fun, it’s inexplicable sometimes why sin in any form can get those FUN juices flowing but so often miss out on cementing JOY! What a great podcast. Restored Gospel testimony strengthening content is what I seek and I’ve enjoyed the content this year, Ashley (sp*)

I am glad I didn’t for me personally. Now hearing his testimony it makes sense. God can cause attraction to certain people, regardless of our dominate orientation. God can cause a miracle in us, even if it isn’t for all people. No one is attracted to everyone anyway. Very cool!

This episode not only filled me with hope and strengthened my testimony in my Savior but also taught me that living by faith is much easier than dwelling in the darkness of bad experiences. This resonates with me deeply, having experienced the pitiful hole of misery and being rescued by our Savior. I urge the younger ones not to go there, as it jeopardizes your life literally. Please stay on the righteous path; experimenting with darkness is incredibly dangerous. I knew that from the worst way. Love you all. Your brother from Brazil.❤

For me listening to your podcast helps me to be wiser. Learning from your experiences taught me to be more compassionate and kind to those who are going through such challenges and how to lift others i am capable of doing. I don't necessarily have to experience those things to learn. Moroni said, they shared their experiences to make us wiser. Listening to our brothers and sisters coming back to Church strengthens my testimony that Jesus Christ loves each one of us and mindful os us. The power of the Atonement of Christ is true.

Interesting comments on loss of innocence. I determined some time ago that we were innocent in the pre-existence, and also as children. We then come to mortality and grow up, choose good and evil, experience the sweetness and bitterness of doing that, and learn. HF doesn't wan us to be innocent, he wants us to be holy. We do that by choosing good consistently, so the Spirit can work on us. That's how we become celestial.

I was invited, by a friend, to watch this channel on KZfaq. I think it's important to point out that both stories that LGBTQIA+ persons have shared about coming back to church are hard for me to identify with as a gay person. Also, comparing the LGBTQIA+ community to having an addiction, like drug abuse, harmful. This is who I am, not a problem or a trial I have. I was born this way and struggled a long time before I understood that I am okay. I am enough. God loves me. I cannot imagine feeling like I need to pray to be straight, as the "married gay man" in this podcast said, or that I'm not ready for certain blessings, like straight marriage. I want other LGBTQIA+ members out there to know that we all don't come back to church and get married. I cannot ever imagine myself married to a man, let alone having an intimate relationship with a man. We try, as LGBTQIA + persons, to conform to what the church and society deem is "normal". My journey is of faith to accept I'm gay, that I'm not straight, and to make a personal decision to live celebate. I accept this is my personal journey. I am gay. I have a relationship with God. I am grateful God led me back to church after being excommunicated 27 years ago. If you are LGBTQIA+, and reading this comment, know you're not alone. Know God loves and knows you. There is a reason that He created you as a gay, or trans, or non-binary person. Everyone adds a unique, personal story and perspective to this world. Every person is essential to this world journey. Healing inside doesn't mean you will find opposite sex attraction, marriage and have kids. Sometimes it's to help others to know that they're not alone, that it's okay not to identify with some church members, to feel different, and to love yourself. I cannot imagine this world without the LGBTQIA+ community. God makes no mistakes. God made me gay. It's not a trial to me. It is a blessing for me. Each of us mean everything to Him.
