Cool, looks like rokiroki reef is at pile bay, I've driven past it once but haven't gotten in the water yet, as you said at start of vid, I'm hunting, trying new spots. Shame how lyttelton harbour is always murky though...

Love seeing people celebrate the local spots closer to Chch. Great coastline all around BP. The viz is a constant unavoidable adversary around Peg Bay & BP. Me & my brother have b diving around Canterbury for the last almost 15-20 years hit me up if you ever want to connect for a dive. Loving your vids, great footage, great family getting outdoors & into it, props to you, bring on summer!!!

Pretty sure you are only allowed 5 paua per day per person all down that coast line. I could be wrong but it may pay to check that out. Great haul though well done.
@huntingnz72654 жыл бұрын
11 paua when limit is ten? Interesting, other than that good video mate
@Y2J4 жыл бұрын
In canterbury limit is 5, per gatherer. You will notice Marshall took wife and child down to the reef, that's 3 gatherers (15 max). And you saw in the vid some were taken from the rocks, not only out of the water.
@huntingnz72654 жыл бұрын
Y IN THE WORLD okay, but one diver? You can’t collect other people’s catch, if MPI stoped him he would’ve been done.
@huntingnz72654 жыл бұрын
Y IN THE WORLD and just saying he picked that off the rocks, not his wife
@Y2J4 жыл бұрын
@@huntingnz7265 what you think you know and what you can prove are 2 different things. As to who is right and who is wrong, you have to ask who can prove what. If a fisheries person was there, what can Marshall prove, he can prove there's 3 gatherers, he can prove paua were on the rocks (video). The legislation doesn't discriminate based on whether you're a diver or not. As far as you know, 5 were caught by Marshall, 5 by wife, 1by son. All you know is you saw 11 paua in the video. You don't know where each one came from. Again, it's not what you think you know, it's what you can prove.
@huntingnz72654 жыл бұрын
Y IN THE WORLD mate read the regulations you can’t catch other people’s limits, no way she found 5 paua on the rocks let alone the kid finding one, it’s upto you to prove it to mpi aswell, your clearly new to diving by watching your videos

@Y2J4 жыл бұрын
that's spot's not exactly easy to get to by driving. I've driven past it... gotta walk down a hill, across a beach, over the grass and onto the reef... aaaaand the water is always dirty (lyttelton harbour). not the most appealing destination for anyone to go
