Today, we sit down with bridal designer Dominique Galbraith, who made headlines in 2019 for refusing to design a wedding dress for a lesbian couple due to her Christian faith. We ask Dominique about the legal action taken since then, her testimony and Christian faith, and the backlash she has faced since taking a stand.
You can support Dominique's legal defense here: www.givesendgo.com/Domg1stAme...

Please tell your sister that perhaps the Lord is using this to shift her focus to lead Christian women out of living according to the world's traditions. I listened to a video on her website about taking the land. This old white girl was INSPIRED! God bless Dominique! May the Lord bless everything she turns her hands to! And may He protect her from the enemy. May her end be greater than her beginning as it was with Job!

I lived as a gay man for a little over 2 years of my life, I bought the multi color flag, I wore nail polish. As I continued to live this lifestyle I felt the sin take over my life and I felt my separation from God growing and I am so blessed that God through his son our Messiah Jesus Christ saved me from this sinful lifestyle and I have woken up from this curse of sin. Not a sin to be gay if you don’t act on it. There are many gay people not living the lifestyle. What kind of person are you if you cannot respect a person’s beliefs. There are plenty of other people to go to for a wedding dress design. To try to force this issue is just mean spirited and ugly.

@@pierreayotte9908 Actually, scripture says to cast down any thought that comes against the knowledge of Christ. (The way Christ/God teaches through His word and his Holy Spirit). A homosexual "thought" coming to someone's mind would not be sin. Right. But to entertain it, dwell upon it, not rebuke/cast it out or worse allow it grow into a desire, would be. I completely disagree with what she did as a Christian. I urge my fellow Christian’s to read the bible, from the bible we learn that Jesus was a friend of sinners. Do you think Jesus would reject someone because of who they are? No. Like 5: 31 - 32 “Healthy people don't need a doctor-sick people do. I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners and need to repent.” I’ll also like to add that in the eyes of God we are all sinners. If Jesus the son of God is able to accept sinners then who are you/I to shun them.

Most people would be like, “OK this small business owner is obviously a hardcore Christian, let’s move on…” because there are bridal dress companies everywhere! They can get a dress at any time! But yeah they WANT to view themselves as victims so they’re actually bringing a war to someone who is genuinely practicing their religion. Really loved this conversation. My business was attacked over an LGBT issue in 2021 and I had a very similar experience. I can relate to the hardest thing being when fellow Christians also came against me out of fear for their business or financial stability. Since then, God has blessed me in so many ways for standing firm during that time. He has blessed our family financially in ways I never could have seen coming also, which I know is not a guarantee, but just a testament that he can do more than we can ask our imagine. I am praying and believing that He will move in this situation and bring her all the confidence, legal help, finances, and whatever else is needed as she fights this battle❤.

Okay? We saw this happen in the late 90s and many in my family didn't appreciate how they hijacked the civil rights movement in favor of LGBTQ. It was shocking, if not disappointing. But now that I have looked into the Marxist/Communist push in our communities which replaced class warfare with skin color, I can now understand why the Powers that Be did it. All and all, it's demonic. Many are fooled into believing skin color or being an ethnic minority is the same thing as being gay. It's not. But it's hard to convince people after 30+ years of conditioning and brainwashing.

@@vanessamartinez9110 Most gays simply walk away from vendors who disapprove, but you don't hear those stories. Personally, if I were gay, I wouldn't want the bad energy of a disapproving vendor to touch my wedding. In the region I live, there was a baker who specialized in wedding cakes. They also sold cupcakes and donuts. This baker suddenly got religion and started using their business social media to rail against gay people and gay marriage. Customers took notice and started passing on the information for a valid reason - to advise customers who would feel uncomfortable buying from someone who disapproves of gays. I'm not gay, but I personally would not feel welcome or comfortable in her shop since I am not against gays or gay marriage. It didn't help that she had some negative ratings for unprofessional behavior and rudeness to customers prior to all this. She ended up closing shop after about a year because her beliefs were incompatible with most of her customer's beliefs. You see, freedom goes both ways.

If by "our faith", you mean Christians, then i disagree with your proclamation that Dominique gave Christians "an example to follow and to stand up for". Alternatively, if by "our faith", you mean Christians who continue to use Biblical proof texting to support homophobic beliefs than I understand your proclamation. Please, with love and respect, be more precise when you use such terms as "our faith." There are millions of Christians who believe that homophobic perspectives that leading to exclusionary practices, such as the one practices by Dominque, are not what followers of Jesus are called to do. Just as in the early church, the Christian Church remains divided on multiple doctrines, interpretations of scripture, lifestyle practices, and business decisions. The Christian Church was divided in the first century and continues to be divided in 2024.

Wow Allie, what a wonderful message and guest. This was a conversation I needed to hear. Trying to understand the LGBT issue has caused me a great deal of confusion, especially as a fairly new Christian (I grew up Christian but did not actively practice my faith until about a year and a half ago). I have a few very close friends who are LGBT and lead lifestyles extremely different from mine. Several years ago I fell into the "afraid to be offensive" and "not taking sin seriously" traps. I remember having a conversation with these friends about what the Bible says about LGBT. I was uneducated and really was not prepared to have the conversation and I remember erroneously saying that the Bible does not offer guidance on modern day same sex relationships. I feel great guilt about this conversation because as Dominique mentions, I could be the only person in their life that might share the gospel with them. And I affirmed their lifestyle. I deeply care about them as my friends and was afraid to offend. I have since prayed for forgiveness for misrepresenting the Bible and asked for guidance from God on how to approach this LGBT issue because I do still feel some confusion. Thanks so much for covering this. I really enjoy your podcast Allie, even when I don't agree with all of your perspectives. I watch most every new episode that you post. It has been very helpful for me to understand current events from a Christian persepctive

Don't worry about it. I'm not Christian, but I don't think they should be allowed in Xtian spaces. Side B and Side A are nonsensical and in both cases, people are desperately trying to bend the narrative, in spite of the Bible being clear on the matter. I do agree that there was no acknowledgement of a committed same-sex relationship at the time as there was today, but even if there was, that still wouldn't make the phrase "dishonorable passions" magically disappear from Scripture.

So well said 🙌 it’s sad to see Christians that are blinded by our fallen world and buy into this disruption.
