He was a maestro in midfield for us. The heart and soul of Tottenham squad. I remember when all were praising dembele in midfield but what i see is eriksen doing the running that is needed to break the oppositions midfield. Providing assists,goals,short pass long pass, diagonals switch with both feet. Especially against Juventus in Turin,he was under appreciated,but was the one doing all the control of midfield. The fans loved him and treated him well but the board did him badly. Which led to him losing his focus and will to play for us,his drop of form coincided with our drop of form and that is no coincidence. You'll always be loved Eriksen, THE GREAT DANE.

So sad to see him go, just such a special player to have at our club. Never fully appreciated for what he did for our team. The attacking glue under the Pochetinno era. From his first assist v Norwich to his final free kick against the same opposition, it was one hell of a journey, with Dembele the most important players in our title challenging years. He was conducting play from the right wing, if that's not special I do not know what is. His free kick against Sheffield Utd is up there with Gazza"s. He may not have kissed the shirt or played up to the fans but he was a leader of men that the entire squad looked up to. I remember Harry Kane looking up to him with Gylfi as a role model and when we needed a goal more often than not it was him who scored it. A lot has been said over the passed year or so but in my eyes, it's not just him it's effected since Dembele's left Pochetinno would change formations and personnel around so much it was difficult to find any type of form. None of the players have played to the standard of 2 years ago. Why Eriksen got more stick than most I never understood. He's never won a 50/50, that was never his game but when Poch puts you in the centre of midfield its magnified more than when you play in the attacking third. A player who stayed away from the limelight, an introvert, with a dry sense of humour which many misunderstood and rather than leaving us in a blaze of glory he left in the understated away he arrive In my eyes a true great & hopefully when the dust settles, in many more #COYS
