First churches in kerala looked like temples. There are many things in kerala christian traditions which is influenced from hinduism, for example the flag post and lamb seen in temple are seen in churches too. Kerala christian community is the actual indian version of christianity.

actually, keralite versions of christian festivals are a blend of christian concepts and practices with hindu cultural depictions as the Syrian St.Thomas christian community of kerala,which is the most prominent of the christian communities in kerala,are descendants of multi caste hindus converted into the faith,first by St.Thomas, then by the later-arrived missionaries.According to scriptures, idol worship is forbidden in Christianity, but what you saw in the video, that is statues of saints being taken in processions is actually an example of iconography as, like in hinduism, these pictoral or physical depictions of christ and the saints arent worshipped or venerated, but made by iconographers( who are to fast and abstain from unwanted practices during the making of these icons according to the law of church) to decorate churches and altars and glorify and manifest the matter of the icon( Christ and the saints) physically to make the viewer realize that even they( in the sense, the Saints) were normal humans who were venerated at the most high due to their true Christian life
