Thank you, @Trishapurpleprincess, and thank you, Matt. I had planned on sending you this one, myself, Matt, but then forgot...for a reason, obviously! 😀 I have two stories to tell that go right along with this. - - - - - - - - - - The first one was in 1978, just before my mom, my four kids, and I left Alaska, to travel down to California where Mom's sister lives. We were looking for just the right (used, small) camping trailer for my mom to pull. I already had mine. We went out to a small trailer park just outside of Old Valdez, and went to the address Mom was given. The man who owned the trailer was supposed to have been there. Instead, he left a note on the cute little trailer's door, which said that the door wasn't locked, and that we were to go ahead and go in, because he had been called to work. So...we went ahead and proceeded to look around, and were pretty favorably impressed with it. However, it only took a short time, until both of us began feeling "uneasy." After a few minutes, we looked at each other, and Mom said something like, "Am I just being weird, or do you feel something wrong about this place, too?" I affirmed that I did. Then we both prayed (separately), and asked God what we should do. He told both of us, first, that it wasn't for Mom, but more than that, He said to take authority of the demonic spirits that had been coming against the man who owned the trailer. So we did. Then we left. Even though we had called on the name of Jesus and HAD taken that authority, it still felt good to LEAVE the place. Later, we found out why Mom couldn't buy it from the man. As it turned out, the reason he was wanting to get RID of it, was that he had felt the same thing, but he didn't know he could fight it. He really LIKED his little home, but he had felt he just needed to get rid of it. Instead, he called Mom back, later, and asked what had happened, and were we OK, because...the spirits that had been in there that were after him all the time, were...just...GONE! We told him about our prayers and our commands for them to go. When we had bought a different (5th-wheel) trailer for Mom, a couple of weeks later, we stopped out there to check on him, and sure enough. The whole place was peaceful, and he was there, and he said the spirits had not been back. In the process, he had learned how to take his OWN authority over those dark spirits, and he said he would never put up with them again. Hallelujah! - - - - - - - - - - Fast forward to 1988, after David and I were married and had added our Judi to my first four kids and his first one. She was three years old, and she started having "night terrors." I would read scriptures to her and talk about Jesus, during the day, but in the middle of the nights, sometimes she would wake up screaming. Her dad and I DID take authority over the dark spirits, but she was still struggling. Finally, I made good use of my cassette tape recorder, and we made her a tape with the same scriptures that I would share with her during the day. One of those scriptures was... Philippians 4:8 (This is the King James Version, which was the only one I knew about, at that time)... "Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things." The thing is, that SHE (even at age three) needed to take that authority, herself, when nobody else was around. I also added things, on the tape, that she could think about, that WERE true, honest, just (or already proven to be OK), that were pure, lovely, and made her think of GOOD things, and SPECIAL things, and things that she really LIKED. So then, as she listened to the tape, she could say those things out loud, and therefore send the BAD stuff, "...OUT, IN THE NAME OF JESUS!" That little girl has grown up to be one of the strongest women of God I have ever known. I wish VERY much, that I had known to do that with my older kids, when THEY were little. Judi's own kids have been raised that way, now, too. They all ALL (down to four-year-old Eliel) know how to take authority over dark spirits. When we moved into this house in 2015, her oldest boy, Ethan, had gone to stay overnight with a friend, one Sunday, and then HE started having nightmares and suddenly wouldn't go to sleep when the lights were off in the boys' room. We discovered that his friend (who has since then also grown into a very strong, steady young man who is serving the Lord) had played the "Freddy" movie. So...Judi did the same thing for him, and made him a recording similar to the one we'd made her way back when. He grabbed hold of the scripture really quickly, as well, and now he never lets anything scare him, or if something unexpectedly does, he knows to take authority. Little Eliel Judah (first and middle names) knows what his name means. Just ask him, and he'll tell you, with a huge smile. Those names mean: "God is my God, and I will praise Him." He knows it, and he knows what it MEANS in his life, as well. Judi's own name (Judi Beth) means "Praise House." That's what she is...a house of praise, for the Lord Jesus Christ. - - - - - - - - - - So...YES! When you run up against something like is told in Carman's story, don't shy away! Stand your ground! Be the WARRIOR that God put inside of you from the very moment you were conceived. - - - - - - - - - - You reacted to a song about this very idea, back in September, Matt: Dan Vasc's cover of "Heart Of Steel" (MANOWAR cover), with the lyrics... "Heart Of Steel" Built a fire a thousand miles away To light my long way home I ride a comet, my trail is long to stay Silence is a heavy stone I fight the world and take all they can give There are times my heart hangs low Born to walk against the wind, born to hear my name No matter where I stand I'm alone Stand and fight Live by your heart Always one more try I'm not afraid to die Stand and fight Say what you feel Born with a heart of steel Burn the bridge behind you Leave no retreat There's only one way home Those who laugh and crowd the path And cut each other's throats Will fall like melting snow They'll watch us rise With fire in our eyes They'll bow their heads Their hearts will hang low Then we'll laugh and they will kneel And know this heart of steel was Too hard to break Too hard to hold Stand and fight Live by your heart Always one more try I'm not afraid to die Stand and fight Say what you feel Born with a heart of steel Stand and fight Say what you feel Born with a heart of steel Stand and fight Live by your heart Always one more try I'm not afraid to die Stand and fight Say what you feel Born with a heart of steel

Story telling at its best. Carmen was a multi facted, multi talented individual. You can't go there in a story unless there was an experience behind it. I will let Purple Princess bring it to you. Thanks for the reaction Matt, and thank you Purple Princess for requesting it.

I love this music video! Luke 10:19 Jesus says “Behold, I give you authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means harm you” Carman shared this message many times in his music videos. That is what made him a unique and special artist. Music videos that were more on the scary side yet Jesus stood out. He showed us in his videos that we don’t have to be scared of the devil or his demons because the greater one Jesus lives inside of us. Even though this was back in the day this message still hits home like none other! I had the privilege of meeting Carman twice. Awesome man of God and I thank Jesus for his ministry and what he put out while he was living on this earth. God bless you man happy to see the Carman reaction videos.

TY for Reacting to it! And Im glad you like my name ❤, as to how I chose it? Princess has been part of my online name since the early 90s in one form or another, simply reminding me that Im the Daughter of the King , and when it was time to make my YT name, I went with my real First Name, my favorite color ( purple) and my chosen online persona 😊 Great Reaction and God Bless! ( I'll request the story behind the song next)

The story songs are great, but you should listen to some of his regular musical songs as well. I highly recommend ... The Light of Jesus to the World, or Shine Through Me ... If you really want to hear his heart for sharing the gospel.

I have no idea how this ended up on MY recommended page. My parents traumatized me with this music as a kid. Ugh. 😂 Seeing how silly and ludicrous it is now as an adult, I don’t know how this ever had any impact. It’s one of the dumbest things I’ve watched in a long time! Thanks for the review and helping me close yet another chapter of escaping the cult of christianity. 🔥 I didn’t even know how much I needed to put this behind me! I know it probably wasn’t your intention… but thanks anyway. 😂

Or maybe it's God reminding you that you need Him just as we all do. God loves you and even if this is silly to you, it's a great reminder that God is always in control. God Bless and I'll be praying that you start a relationship with Jesus.

@gametchanger yes, when it came out, I thought it was horrible then, still do. I'll be honest with you, I lump him in with everybody on TBN. Not even close to being Biblical, Doctrinally or Theologically sound! He kind of reminds me of a Las Vegas lounge singer. Sorry dude, can't stand his music. Another group that was lame was the Power Team, ughh!

@@gametchanger TBN is charasmatic theology, and they are very showy, not much Bible and what they say is unbiblical. Carmen's music is very dramatic, but not much substance. He used to be on TBN quite a bit along with other false people like: Benny Hinn, Joyce Meyer, TD Jakes, Kenneth Copeland, Creflo Dollar, all these people are false and if you're hanging around them chances are you are of like mind. Another example of a false teacher would be Joel Osteen, you should some of the people he's had on stage with him, it might shock you! If you're hanging out with false teacher's than their beliefs will be false as well. There is a guy on KZfaq named Brylan who has a channel that talks about these people. Also, Real Talk with Jordan on KZfaq as well, both of these guys are very strong Biblically! Kirk Cameron, a guy I respected, is now off the deep end with some weird things. There are 2 books I'll recommend to you: Charasmatic Chaos by John MacArthur and Strange Fire by John MacArthur as well. Nothing takes the place of your Bible and The Holy Spirit teaching you, but there are Pastor/Teacher's that I respect like John MacArthur, Voddie Baucham, R.C. Sproul, Steve Lawson, Charles Spurgeon, to name a few. Matthew 24:24 NASB, 2Timothy 4:3-4 NASB Charasmatic theology is very showy and emotion based, not Biblical at all.
