I love how humble he is about his opinion. Often when I speak to people about this they end up becoming hostile when they can no longer prove their point and like to personally attack you. Great to see someone like this for a change, and hopefully he will find his true self because he seems like a intelligent guy.

So many young kids don't know the difference between real science and theoretical Scientism and the biased interpretation of evidence to validate a theory.
@maow9240
@maow9240 5 жыл бұрын
@@Thuhglegend27 what they are trying to say is that theories are taught to be fact because the theory sounds logical regardless of proof if the theory is even true. which is why most atheist hang onto the term "scientific theory" like that is suppose to make the theory true because the word "scientific" is thrown into the term but it is still a theory regardless. There ia a big difference between scientific theory and scientific fact and this upcoming gemeration is more incline to believe a theory over fact because some things cant be proven and the theory only sounds like it makes more sense over fact but that doesn't change the facts.
@maow9240
@maow9240 5 жыл бұрын
@@Thuhglegend27 i understand that but you can cram as many facts into a theory all you want but that doesn't make the theory true which is why its called a theory and not a fact or "scientific" theory vs "scientific" fact. no different then putting historical facts and places in a fictional novel or movie, doesn't mean the novel or movie is entirely true. take the big bang theory for instance. i just finished a 2 week debate with a gentleman over KZfaq comments solely over the big bang. His claim was that since the Big bang theory is a scientific theory then it should be accepted as true. he keep tossing up scientific theory like it means its a fact until we broke down the theory of the big bang which relied upon the beginning where the theory states that a before the "singularity" occurred there was no time, space, or matter and that we don't know how the singularity could even exist. we went over different websites and wiki pages discussing the evidences of this and remotely it boiled down to there is no evidence that a singularity is possible and is only 'believed" to of happened because it sounds like the only logical way for the evidence to exist but ultimately is still a theory that is assumed to of happened. so scientifically a scientific theory will always be assumed to be true but it is still assumed making it be believed to be true. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scientific_theory if you read through the description of scientific theory, its pretty obvious that it means whether or not a theory can be tested to be proven a theory is simply "accepted" as true ultimately tossing it into the scientific theory category because people believe the theory to be true. still a belief it would just be a scientific belief. still doesn't make something true just means something is believed to be true
@maow9240
@maow9240 5 жыл бұрын
@@Thuhglegend27 google definition speculation: the forming of a theory or conjecture without firm evidence. i never said science was like a novel but a theory can most definitely be like one. yes the big bang is explainable with a "theory" but not all "theories" are true. the big bang itself is pure speculation. the big bang is based off a theory that involves a singularity that supposedly contains infinite mass and infinite density. how does anyone know that this singularity contains infinite mass and infinite density? simple, they don't know, which is why its still a theory. no one has ever witness a singularity or tested a singularity. its a theory no matter how scientific it may be. its just a theory that is put together by scientific laws that is speculated as the only way such a thing could be possible. doesn't mean its true.
@maow9240
@maow9240 5 жыл бұрын
@@Thuhglegend27 i understand what you are trying to say but to go as far as saying "wasting your time or mine" only hinders the point of the discussion and only encourages someone to just accept any answer that someone else believes to be true based off of whatever evidence they believe supports the theory they are claiming to be true regardless if the theory happens to be true or not. The wiki page for scientific theory cleary states: "In circumstances not amenable to experimental testing, theories are evaluated through principles of abductive reasoning." Then in the wiki page for abductive reasoning it states: "yields a plausible conclusion but does not positively verify it." No matter the theory, if it cant be tested and only relies upon reasonings that clearly cant verify it to be true but is accepted as true without verification then it is simply believed to be true making it a belief regardless of the terminology used. Even with evidence proof is going to be proof and any theory can be concluded based off of whatever evidence supports the theory but if it isnt proven then it has to be believed to be true in order for it to be accepted. You can say "accepted as true" if you want but that still means someone believes something to be true. Just simple terminology which is probably why people dont like it to be called scientific belief over scientific theory. A theory is a theory regardless of how you spin it. Scientific or not it remains a theory no matter what the evidence says if it isnt proven. Which is why tons of atheist point to christians and demand for proof of God but when the script is flipped they get upset because they either realise they themselves are holding onto a belief or are using whatever they think disproves God for a reason to not believe in God. Thanks for the conversation by the way but no offence i know you mean well but learning is never a waste of time no matter how someone learns something and everytime, whether it is said to me or i read said to someone else, just telling someone that "its a waste or your or mine time." is technically a cop out or a insult to the person it is being said to and only shows the person saying it either doesn't know enough to actualy have a conversation about it and isnt willing to learn more about the topic being discussed with the person they are discussion it with or it is saying to the person its being told to that they are to stupid or ignorant to actually learn something. I didn't take it as an insult from you but i see it a lot everywhere else and usually is meant as an insult so for future reference for people who arem't me(i have thick skin and am smart enough handle my own) and you are wanting someone to see your viewpoint you might actaully want to discuss the topic instead of saying its a waste of time. Some people are actauily wanting to learn while others are simple trying to stur up trouble (trolls) sadly. Again thanks for the reply sorry for the little rant. I like to learn and enjoy a thought provoking conversation and dont accept a conversation to where i can learn something as a waste of time.
@maow9240

@@Thuhglegend27 awesome conversation we are having. Thank you for that so to continue on. Info on scientific theory wiki page: "whereas in science it describes an explanation that has been tested and widely *accepted* as valid" Google definition of accepted: "generally believed or recognized to be valid or correct" If science deals with facts then nothing would have to be "accepted as true" but certain things have to be believed as true to further science along which still makes something a scientific belief since clearly the truth doesnt always get verified. You wouldnt have to accept something as true if it is verified as true thus simple knowing something is true making it fact. Which is why it is called a scientific theory and not a scientific fact. Scientifically speaking we don't ever see anything pop into existence. The device you are using didn't simply grow out of the ground and become the device you are using. it was designed with a function in mind. You look at a building and its clear that someone built it.. you see a painting and know someone painted it. You see a car and see how it functions pretty obvious someone designed the car to function the way it does. Scientifically nothing hasnt beem created in this universe. It take someone to build the building it took someone to paint the painting and it took someone to make you which was your parents and someone had to make them so naturally in my opinion using scientific theories of natural laws you cant get something from nothing and everything came from somewhere then this universe which clearly has a design in mind for it to function the way it does was design which i believe to have beem designed by God. It makes the most sense. To add to this I've had several paranormal experiences that has proved to me that the spiritual does indeed exist and i have others like my wife or the people around to back up the same things ive experienced because they have experienced them also. so i know spirits exist. Hey you seem like a intelligent indivual and i would to further correspond with you until you dont feel like talking to me. The problem (at least here in the US) is kids are raised in schools that teach falsehood. It gets drilled in their head over and over daily. By the time they are old enough to think for themselves, it is almost too late. However, they find themselves searching for truth because something does not sit well with them. That is why this young man seemed confused. He was always told about a big bang etc. So now he is struggling with what he knows in his heart compared to what he has been taught. A seed has been planted for sure though.

They show NO respect to Christians at all. When we had religion they gave us tons of texts and papers about Islam, Hinduism and Buddhism but not much about Christianity. And they only told us about catholic saints and some history and NOTHING about the real biblical Christian lifestyle. But they told us much more about Islam and Buddhism and Hinduism.

To me, the fact that these open hearted discussions can occur in modern society, is already proof of our shared origin. When everyone is busy living their lives, some are still curious about what it means. Even when surrounded with certitudes, young hearts recognize the truth of the unknown and still feel excitement rather than fear for it. Knowing we're all linked to it, there is joy shaped by love, in this never ending mystery that is life. Truly beautiful, thanks for the video !

What u are describing is pantheism n that would contradict biblical Christian theology

Because this is His world and He can do what He wishes. And how do you know He doesn't stop billions of bad things from happening ever day. Maybe the reason you don't see more bad things is because He did stop them from happening. And if nothing bad ever happens then we would not know how much we need Him, we wouldn't know "bad" so we wouldn't see any need for Him. When we see the bad then we see that there is a need for God.

On the topic of science, what's the actual evidence that Jesus really performed miracles or rose from the dead, are those claims really scientific?
@speakersforthedead4455
@speakersforthedead4455 5 жыл бұрын
For instance, while not science directly but evidence more-so. Jesus pretty much always performed miracles that many people were a witnesses too. This can be backed up with so many accounts from that region as well. One major one, would be his own brother James who pretty much despised Jesus until his resurrection. Namely, because his brother claimed to be perfect and appeared to be! Could you imagine how much scrutiny you'd have against a sibling who claimed to be perfect? James gave up his disdain for Jesus when the greatest miracle (his resurrection) came to pass. Not to mention all of the things Jesus did to the day (prophesy found in the 70 weeks of Daniel) and the hundreds of prophesies foretold in the Old Testament of a coming savior mostly found in the book of Isaiah(written 800 years before Jesus was born) and other prophesies suggested a coming savior all over the old testament. These prophesies explain why the three Wise-men Kings knew where and when Jesus was born, because they were students of the book of Isaiah and Daniel's 70 weeks.

There are numerous. One evidence in particular is powerful. This is a historical evidence: in particular is the early witness of Jesus' followers. They were severely persecuted and suffered and many were martyred for their faith, insisting upon the Risen Lord. "Group hallucinations" will not excuse this fact that many claimed to have seen Him. People are not willing to suffer agonizing death and mistreatment for a fable or lie. The fact that the Church exists at all is a Testament to The Risen Christ

A miracle is not the suspension of the natural. A miracle is the authority over the natural. God never reduces himself to magic tricks. He glorifies himself by showing us authority over the natural. In the world, rain falls on grapes and they fall to the ground and ferment which is essentially water turning to wine. God is the creator of reality and time and space. Therefore, he doesn't have to operate inside the rules of time and space. Christ turned water into wine as his first miracle and did so instantly.

If you play the game Minecraft, and you play it on survival mode, then you can't just make things from nothing. but as soon as you turn on God mode in the game, then everything becomes visible and you can createeverything from nothing. So just remember that you are created to have necessities, among other things. God does not have a necessity to be able to exist so therefore God is the creator of all the universe and heavens and the earth, everything. so very likely you do understand it to this point. So if you try to think any deeper its very likely that you get some necessities problems, and conflict in your mind. So leave your sins and don't argue with your temptations, but run to Jesus.

Our clothes would have become rags for others and replaced by more recent trends, our cars will be on display as historical artifacts by others, also replaced by more advanced technology. As for us, we will be, for the most part, never thought about by anyone again. How often do you think about your great grandfather? How often does your great grandmother cross your mind?* *Our presence here on earth today, that presence that we make so much noise about and shed so many tears for, was preceded by countless generations before us and shall be followed by countless generations after us. Every generation that passes through this world barely finds the time to take a glance at the world before needing to bid it farewell and handing over the baton, having not fulfilled even a fraction of ones ambitions. Our lives are, in reality, far shorter than we imagine.* *In 2119, every one of us will realise from within the grave just how worthless this world actually was, and how trivial those dreams were that centred on it*. *In 2119, every one of us will be wishing that we had dedicated our lives to great matters of GOD, and devoted ourselves to doing good deeds, particularly those that continue to benefit us after our death*. *In 2119, many reading this piece will be screaming out, but in vain:* *“My Lord return me! So that I may do good in that which I have left behind ..”* *The response to this request, however, shall be:* *“No! and behind them is now a barrier until the Day they are resurrected."* *In 2119, many will be in regret, saying:* *“I wish that I had prepared for my life.”* *Let us become righteous, for surely what happened to those we talk of, heard of and read of will surely happen to some. In fact, personal belief in JESUS CHRIST, HIS DEATH and RESURRECTION is the only answer to this problem. I hereby humbly appeal to every honorable member of this noble platform to use this opportunity to share this important message to all his/her contacts as part of his/her personal EVANGELISM. Stay blessed....and live your life on this planet earth wisely, May the Almighty God be your immediate helper in Jesus Mighty name. Amen! *WE WILL ALL DIE SOMEDAY!* *Let's put more of our time, money and energy into serving God and helping humanity.*

Yes, Jesus was God. John 1:1 and John 1:14 says He was God. In John 8:58, "Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I am." Jesus claimed to be God by saying that He was I AM, the name I AM was used only by God, the only other place the name I AM was used was when God was speaking with Moses in the burning bush in Exodus 3: 13-14. That was why the Jews were wanting to stone Jesus, because He was claiming to be the I AM, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

Praise the Lord...😂...I wish this kid knew,he was probably,imbedded in him,probably more good than there is in us,more holiness than there is in us,the only thing,I wish he accepted that Jesus died and rise for us,I hope he realizes it one day,but...it amazed me,how the interviewer asked,well...will you atleast think about it...and he,in his,athiest mind...was going to say yes,but...he,knowing,that lie,would be known by anyone but himself,because...remember,he's an athiest,so...it wouldn't have hurt,for him,to only fool the interviewer and himself,since,no one would even know he lied,because,it's his thoughts,no one knows them...cristians are either gullable it naive,had he said yes,we would have been so happy,as if he were really going to,even if he didn't...but...as he was going to say yes,he,with deep remorse,could not,bring himself to say,he would think about it...when it would have been only between him and his mind,why would it bother him only,if he truly only believed,it would be only him he'd be accountabe for...a lie that would've hurt anyone...physically,but him...and his conciousness...if we were more loving,more patient,meek,humble,I think we would win him over,but I think much of Christianity seems intolerant,not because they should embrace sinful ways,but the way we've dealt with harsh words,and with rude words,that seem hateful,instead of showing love ... I truly think that's why he can't embrace it,I guess we can say,we've become proud,loud,cold hearted,by majority atleast,that that's what they view Jesus as,kind of scary to think about it that way,because then,it brings us to the part where it says,we've blashphemed his holy name,because,we were supposed to be the models ,so that we can be the light,not fire,with the word,but not the hearts...of gentleness,meekness,tenderness,I think if Jesus were alive today,though we know what words were used to explain his being,his person,we visibly wouldn't recognise them,because,those qualities,are those of those whom we call weak,snowflakes. . . We call them women,girls,pansies,and I think,maybe,somewhere ,we lost the meanning of what it meant to be a true christian,and with all the good life,all the lifestyle,and culture we saturated in the economic growth and prosperity of the country,we lost that spirit of holiness,and another spirit came in place,pride,haughtiness,arrogance,and those whom had the spirit of meekness,humility,were probably,by us,confused,by those who thought,were real men,when they had lost the true,meanning of what God says i man is...maybe,we ,with our words,made mnifest their confusion,because they were weak...not us specifically,but culturally...collectiveley...we signaled them put to be girls,when they could have been more Christ like in spirit...

48 seconds in and there's already a problem with this interview. Granted, the guys involved agreed to it, but still; using the 10 commandments as the basis for determining whether or not someone is a good person is heavily biased. The first three commandments are explicitly orders to acknowledge the Judeo-Christian god, which an atheist does not, putting them in an incomparable position out of the gate. But let's ignore that and actually examine the framing of the question: Supposedly, the god being proposed in this interview wishes to judge us using a standard that, if upheld, would ensure that everyone in this world be damned to Hell. If we assume a) he understands the ramifications of this & b) he chooses the standard; that would mean that he is responsible for which afterlife our souls would end up in. "Now if God is an incorruptible and perfect judge..." He wouldn't go out of his way to make a loophole that circumvents the standard he chose to judge people by. Just by raising this hypothetical, the interviewer is outright admitting that his god is neither incorruptible or a perfect judge by virtue of the fact that he believes that said deity subverted his own rules out of what he believes to be "mercy." I could go on, but breaking down a 20 minute video scene by scene would be tediously long of a read. I hope I've made my point.

Denying a creator exists does not mean he doesn't exist. I think that's what they were getting at. I could be wrong. I get what you're saying about the loophole thing, but God's plan from the very beginning was to send his son on our behalf, so this kind of negates your argument a bit. Even if I was an atheist, which I'm not. This is talked about in the Old Testament over and over(70 Weeks of Daniel, Genesis, Isaiah and Enoch). All of which are absolutely known to have been written before Jesus was born in a time that absolutely can be proven without any doubt whatsoever. The names themselves from Adam up to Noah in the Bible give a prophecy like this: Adam(Man) Seth(Appointed) Enosh(Mortal) Kenan(Sorrow) Mehalal(God) Jared(Shall Come Down) Enoch(Teaching) Methuselah(His Death Shall Bring) Lamech(the Desparing) Noah(Rest). I should also mention, this is the Hebrew translation, which is why so many Christians believe it to be the original language Adam was given by God. In the eyes of a Christian God does not make mistakes, he is perfect, he knew when the right time was for Jesus to come to have the greatest impact and save the most lives for their benefit. In the letter Paul wrote to the Ephesians around 50AD he says that "God sees you and I as his greatest treasure. An inheritance to him." The greatest work and creation he ever made was you from God's perspective. Isn't the idea of that incredible to consider? Imagine if a president or prime minister genuinely felt this way about all people in their land. Would this not be a leader worth following? Genuinely caring whether you live or die in war or if your knee healed after the accident. God appreciates each of us individually and wants to spend eternity in our presence, not the other way around. Hope that helps you to understand why people want to believe in God. I do care about you as well. Which is why I sent you this message. I could not forgive myself if I found out that in the end I could have been the one that helped you understand God a bit, but I felt too busy to say anything to you and no one else ever did either. God bless you friend, we're all family here on this world. I hope you consider the true God of the Bible and not what people change him in to.

What a lovely and decent young man. He was very polite, respectful and tolerant,.. and that's a lot more than you could expect from many people of his age these days. The question "Do you think you are a good person?" is actually a loaded question which nobody on the Earth can answer in the affirmative". Even Jesus when approached by the nobleman who said "Teacher, good teacher!" was responded to by Jesus saying" Why do you call me good when none are good, save one who is our Father in heaven?". That's because Jesus knew that God's standard for "good" was/is actually "perfection" and of course none are perfect and at the time Jesus was asked of that question he had not yet perfected the works of God through his ministry and ultimate glorification through resurrection and ascension. He in due course demonstrated God's standard of perfection and that is why Christians can enter God's Heavenly kingdom because they have their imperfect sin washed away by the perfect blood of Jesus. Hence Jesus saying "I am the Truth, The Way and The Life,.. no man cometh to the Father except through me!". To this evangelist and to his lovely guest James I would say,.. No man can convince another man of the truth and glory of God. Only God (through Jesus) can draw those to Him who are His beloved. His sheep will hear the voice of their good shepherd and hopefully, this encounter will act as a calling and convicting of James that will in due course show him the truth and inescapable destiny of the message contained in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. God bless you young James,... you have a biblical name so you're off to a good start!

All men know that God exists, so they will be justly punished and they can't claim ignorance Romans 1:14 - 32 14 I am obligated both to Greeks and non-Greeks, both to the wise and the foolish. 15 That is why I am so eager to preach the gospel also to you who are in Rome. 16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile. 17 For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed-a righteousness that is by faith from first to last,[e] just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.”[f] God’s Wrath Against Sinful Humanity 18 The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19 since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20 For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities-his eternal power and divine nature-have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse. 21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles. 24 Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25 They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator-who is forever praised. Amen. 26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error. 28 Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. 29 They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 30 slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31 they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy. 32 Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.

I'm not going to be as nice as James in my comment here. What part of this interview is actually scientific or logical? The interviewer cleverly and surreptitiously inject his theistic assumptions in the premise and start constructing his arguments from there. Inevitably he reaches the conclution that his god exists and he is the creator of everything. This is utter nonsense. None of his argumens is scientific or logical because his assumptions are not tested true scientifically or logically.

What you don't see is that Jesus Christ is a parody of Julius Caesar. The Christ narrative is political satire, pure and simple, with a prophetic note. Julius Caesar, named "God on Earth, king of Rome", was murdered. On his death, he was only as good as the 'king of the Jews'. It's like saying Hitler was king of the Jews. But then, Julius Caesar resurrected as Jesus Christ, in parody. There is your Second Coming. “Veni, vidi, vici” - Venus, bright morning star (phonetic) JC: “I came, I saw, I conquered” JC: “I am the way, the truth and the life.” Splice: I came the way, I saw the truth, I conquered life.”.... exactly what Julius Caesar did as he expanded his empire. The Church did exactly the same. Supported by "God on Earth", it conquered millions of lives. Same religion, different name, same initials: JC. Betrayal by Petrus (Peter) = Betrayal by Brutus (Et tu Brute?) Jesus Christ betrayed by Judas Isacariot in his “inner circle” = Julius Caesar betrayed by Mark Anthony in his inner circle. “Beware the aides of March!” - Lent. Julius Caesar stabbed by Roman senators. Jesus Christ stabbed by Roman centurion.

I'm struggling to see your point here. I'd like to respond, but I'm not sure of your specific intent. Are you saying Jesus is made up or that his second coming already happened? I agree there are parallels, but the story of betrayal and conquering is not exclusive to the two. I think it would be dangerous to think that. For certain, Jesus will come again. It is not Caesar. Just like Nero was not the anti-christ. This is dangerous and can keep people from being saved. Unless you have absolute proof, I would not be spreading these statements around, because no where in scripture does it say that Jesus return would be an empire, a religion, or a political leader. It says he will come down exactly as he left(Acts 1:11). On the mount, with the appearance of a human. And all will know who he is because of his power. Be careful and study the scripture more. If you're not a Christian I could see how this is not clear. The Bible as a whole, is a lot to take in. It requires a studious person with thousands of hours to piece it together.

Any one can call themselves a Christian, but it is their actions that show the truth. If you're referring to the Catholic church and their crusade, I agree, that is not Christ-like. They are not really Christian since Pope's throughout history claim to be the embodiment of Jesus and say their words are God's words, even if it does not agree with God. Never is a real Christian doing what you say, only false Christians. I speak instead for the millions of Christians slaughtered by others and the rest of the people who are victimized by Satan and his cohorts. Does that make sense? So, saying I'm guilty of the same thing as you makes me a dishonest person? Come on now. We all have broken laws, whether they are from the Bible or your local political affiliations. I believe their intent of expressing the broken laws was to show that denying that the universe was created doesn't mean there is not a creator. Since we can not choose how we were created in the first place. We can only consider the options. Science may talk like they know "for sure", but when it comes down to it, it is still a guess with major implications if wrong. Do you realize that historically Christians are despised and often persecuted (many times with their life) for even saying they believe in God? It's not some pleasure or hidden agenda to tell you. It's the opposite. I want you to go to Heaven because I don't want you to go to Hell, there's no other reason to die for my belief and tell you. I care about you. That's all. You can be mad, but what if I am right and never told you? I'd be the worst person ever. I might as well be Satan because it has the same result to not share some things with you. I believe God cares about you. I'll put it this way, my life is worth a great deal to me, I have kids and a lot I enjoy, but yours is worth more to me than mine, because I'd die for you if only to give you more time to decide to believe God exists. I believe God wants to show him self to you, if only you'd ask "God, show me if you are real?" He'll show you he cares. It may not be how you want to be shown, but you must be willing to be wrong about what you currently think about him.
