Part of why I’ve always loved her is that she’s always been so articulate. Even as a teen when she first came out. I’m just a few years younger and always remember looking up to her because she was so well spoken and confident.

Can’t believe It’s 20 y since STRIPPED. What an incredible album and journey, lyrics, melodies, harmonies, stories that album has. There was so many singles that could’ve been released after The Voice Within. There wasn’t at that time any other pop female who could’ve top Stripped! Such an iconic album. I still remember how happy I was when I saw her at MTV VMA with Dirrty playing in the back and new image. I knew that something big is coming. She used to be in the main news with story how Dirrty was censored and forbiden in many countries and MTV wouldn’t play it on day, only by night. This album helped me so much, I was lost teenager at that time, 14 y.o. lost boy. I can say that this album saved me all over the past 20 y, especially in my teen days. What a journey this was.

She has done so many things waaay before they became "trendy", she has taken risks, and been made fun of for her style choices, and a few years later some "others" repeat those choices and then "it's fine". But above all, we all know how much Christina has influenced pop culture all over the world. I also LOVE the respect she gives to the people who have worked with her over the years. Christina fought against the establishment and the box they were putting the young singers into at that time. She had the strength to be who she was and wanted to be when some others weren’t. She took a lot of criticism for it but in the end, she came through it all in a much more positive way than some others did.

She was way ahead of her time. Pity that her remaining true to herself and finding her identity costed her lose the public’s interest. I’m a 90s kid so I remember how important and influential she was at that time, so whenever she’d release an album after like mid 2000s and not get praise and recognition for it I was shocked! That’s the legendary Xtina and people just let her fade away in the business. I’m glad she never gave up and stuck around💖

I could watch this for 5 hours. I am not really following her career nowadays, but I will never forget the 2000s, the Xtina era and till this day it is a tradition in my family to watch her B2B concert DVD together around christmas every year. She's had soooo many more looks, I'm sad this was all; but still loved reminiscing. Also, STRIPPED is still my go-to record of Christina's. It's carried me throughout my life. I continue to hope that one day she'll return to that type of sound and release a pt. 2 or something similar.
