I respect your opinion, however I respectively disagree with it. Two unique artists. Even if Christina A. sang the whole song she would not have captured the spirit of the incredible Whitney Houston such as what Glennis Grace has shown here. Glennis is the truth and has my blessing on her wonderful execution. I have been in the music business for over 40+ years as a musician, songwriter and producer. I was fortunate to have shared a Grammy with the amazing vocalist Deniece Williams in 1987. My opinion of Glennis Grace is she has an astounding present for singing in any style of music you put before her and she delivers. The issue I have with Christina A. in my humble opinion is she sings a bit over the top on most of her songs. Kind of removes you from the moment at times. If Glennis is given a chance to maybe work with a few american producers over here, it might just add just the right amount of polish to her already amazing talent. Won't take much though. Glennis Grace hands down, is probably already one of the best singers in the world based on her versatility. She has the whole package.

I'm just now seeing your comment after 8 months. Sorry it took so long but, after finally seeing your comment I definitely felt the need to respond to someone who is not only respectful but appears to have an in-depth knowledge of music. First off, Thanks so much for watching and sharing your thoughts!!! This reaction was my bare bone, first time hearing anything from Glennis Grace. I knew nothing about her before reacting to this performance. Now that I've gotten to listen to more performances from her I've grown to love her voice and her vocal prowess. And I not only respect your opinion but I also agree with you on most of what You've stated here in this comment with the exception of this.... Yes, Christina can be a bit over the top but I recall Whitney being pretty much the same way, especially when it came to live performances. It just may not have come across that way because she seemed to do it so effortlessly. While now looking back at this reaction, I admit that I poorly conveyed in the video, what I am about to state now... And that is this, the point that I was trying to get across was that while Glennis may have that amazing vocal skill, on a level similar to that of Whitney, it didn't come across as effortless. To me, in this performance I could feel the work needing to be done by Glennis to showcase her skill. While Christina's skill may not be as sharp and refined, to me, Christina's timbre and vocal tone is closer to that of Whitney in my honest opinion. Even Christina's sheer raw talent reminds me of Whitney. WHITNEY, was the total package. The effortlessness that came with raw talent and the sharpness AND the refinement to perform at high skill level. Both those things combined make for what happens when a musician (which you should know being one) gets into a zone. And that ZONE doesn't happen in every performance but when it does something amazing happens where the musician no longer has to think about technique or proficiency. The music just flows out of you effortlessly and this can be felt by the natural audience and the musically trained audience as well. Late to the party....but there is no comparison...Christina - Glennis. Glennis wins hands down. Christina is a wonderful singer in her own right, but when it comes down to singing Whitney’s songs...Glennis is the one. If I had to choose another performer who does a great job at this it would be Jessie J.

How are you a music producer and still say that xtina had the better version? She was extremely flat, she lowers her Larynx to try and sound like Whitney AND she has 0 breath support. She has shitty vocal technique, lol. Glennis on the other hand has a healthy vocal technique, and she sang the song with EASE. I'm a composer AND and vocalist myself and this is laughable, 😂.

Tell that to rolling stone who included Xtina from one of 100 greatest singers and called her the voice of generation and tell that to Whiney who she said enjoys her music to Celine Dion who totally Praise Xtina, to new comers like Demi AND Ariana who are millionaires because of SUCCESSFUL CAREERS and tells that Xtina is a great VOCALIST.

sandro everdin Xtina is not and never has been a great vocalist, not even a good one actually. She has less than an octave of support which is extremely tragic, literally every note in the fifth octave is strained, her placement is a mess, she’s all throat. This isn’t just now, it’s been like this since her career started, which is why there’s nothing left of her voice today. She had the raw potential but never lived up to it.

Christina adores Whitney since she was a kid, but she never wants to be Whitney, she sings Whitney's song as a tribute with her own way, technique n vocal. However, we must admit Christina's voice sounds like Whitney's, just listen her first hit Reflection, close your eyes while listening. Reflection is not Whitney's song, but Christina's sounds so similar to Whitney's. The man on the video says the truth.

Glenda's greatest strength lies in the conviction that she puts in her singing, she has experienced a few things in her life and you can hear that. She have convinced me for years, And she has that persuasiveness that only very few, only the greatest have, Ella, Sarah, Sinatra, Mel Torme Nat "king" Cole and a handful singers still alive today and that's it. She puts her own experiences in her singing, you must have experienced a few beatings in life to be able to draw from that as it were, and she is one of a lone classe, the goose bumps on my arms the tears in m ' n eyes prove that night after night. I've been following Glennis Carrer since I listened after winning the voice in her country, Holland. She Is an amazing singer, I would not compare neither Christina or Whitney, bacause She sounds pretty like Whitney in her songs but she performs other singers songs AND she puts her own style un them....! I think the big difference between these 2 marvelous ladies is the fact that Christina has always has a headstart even if she sings it terrible. Its the same as comparing Glennis with Whitney, you can't win it. The problem is Glennis is unknown and there for she will never have the goodwill to its viewers, Christina has worldfame, so that allready gives you a big advantage. If Christina was unknown, i think you could have a better judgement too its performances.

Listen Christina has a beautiful voice but Glennis Grace sings Whitney’s songs exactly like Whitney. There’s no doubt or ifs about it. Christina’s voice is not the same tone. I think your ears are deceiving you I’m sorry to say. You can’t compare the 2 because Christina although has a beautiful beautiful voice Glennis Grace won this hands down. Ijs.... Don’t be so star suck on Christina that you take Glennis’ well earned Whitney Houston’s voice prop. She sang it perfectly like Whitney & if Whitney was here she’d agree.

No doubt Glennis sounded so good here & she has a beautiful voice too. But it's a tribute for Whitney, Christina gave an incredible performance it was passionate, she never tried to sound her idol, NO ONE CAN. She does not imitate & I think that's how you do a tribute or a cover.

IMHO Glennis vocal character and technic sound much closer to Whitney than Christina. This applies to her stage performance as well. However, Christina sang the medley tribute to Whitney beautifully in her own way without loosing her vocal character and style, which is perfectly okay, although I noticed that Christina’s vocal technique and quality is no longer as good as 15 years ago.

First of all, Glennis G sharp5 has way more power then Cristina's G#5, second Glennis could sustain the G sharp 5 way longer and has a nicer resonant to It with an awesome crescendo that you only hear in an opera and come on man, Christina's pitch was off a few times right from the start, don't say It wasn't. I'm a producer with perfect pitch. Glennis was almost perfect Christina was absolutely not. Taste is personal, so If you say you liked Cristina better, I would respect that.

I won't say she failed. She could've done much better but still doesn't take away how beautiful her voice sounded in most parts. Her only issue was holding the higher notes.

Please also react to Amanda Cole singing "I Will Always Love You" or "I Have Nothing" She also covers Adele''s "Hello", Sia's "Chandelier" Sam Smith's "The Writing's On The Wall" "Bon Jovi's "Always" She has also performed "Whitney Tribute Shows........She was a member of the R&B group En Vogue for a few years around 2000-2002. She also has a few (3) original songs on KZfaq......"Win" "Spotlight" and "The Greatest Of All Time" One review of a Whitney show that she did last year with the Omaha Symphony Orchestra mentions the Amanda Cole was a background singer for Whitney Houston. Not sure if that is true. Nevertheless, Amanda Cole is amazing. As for record labels...........according to her, they try to tell her that she should sing a particular type of music.......She refuses to be that type of an artist. she's rather be true to her self. Love her for that..........But, I so wish she would be heard all over the world.............Her vocal abilities are astonishing. Enjoy !!
