I always had rather mixed feelings on this song, since it’s mostly about wanting someone else’s boyfriend, which is not a very healthy thing to do, however not all relationships are healthy ones, so I guess it makes sense that you would hope the person you care about realizes they're in a bad one before it's too late. One thing to note is that even though the singer doesn't agree with the guy's choices, she isn’t trying to sabotage his current relationship but instead is waiting for him to realize on his own that she would love him in a deeper and more meaningful way than the girl he is currently with.
I actually got an interesting fortune cookie the other day (don't you love those, lol) that kind of applies to this which said, ✨“The desire of love is to give. The desire of lust is to get.” ✨
And I think that’s a very important question to ask yourself in any relationship - am I doing this to get something out of it and focused on my own desires or am I doing this out of love for the other person and prioritize their needs over my own?
Of course love isn’t just one sided, and it’s nice to feel loved and appreciated too, but particularly in this instance where you want what someone else has, it's critical that you aren't looking with lust (since lust is a sin and often leads to acting in selfish and destructive ways) and instead deal with your feelings in a healthy way and truly consider what's best for yourself and the person you care about.

Miraculous is kind of a different story though, since neither are/were in an official relationship, and one thing I like about Marinette is she really does go out of her way to listen to, support, and understand Adrien, and when he finally realizes that, it’s easy to see they belong together since both continuously love in a giving way that seeks to help and encourage the other person, rather than only focusing on what they can get out of it. (Aaagh I ship them so much 😆😅💓🥰)
Another thing about this song is it focuses a lot on comparing the differences between the two girls, which - I'm sure we all know - is easy to do. (I mean it really takes more effort to focus on NOT comparing yourself rather than instinctively doing it all the time.) It's a natural human thing, but it's also not a very helpful thing, and often does more harm than good.
One thing I liked about this is how she doesn’t change the fact she wears t-shirts and sneakers in order to be more like the other girl or catch the boy’s attention, but stays true to herself and waits to see if he will appreciate her the way he is. (And in Adrien’s case of course he does)
It's okay to follow a certain style or learn from other people's examples, but it’s also important to find someone who loves you for who you are rather than trying to conform to whatever is considered cool or popular.
And that doesn't just go for romantic relationships, but any relationship in general. You are a special, valuable, one-of-a-kind person, who deserves to be known and appreciated for who you are and you don't have to change or be like anyone else.
You add something new and wonderful to the world just by being yourself, and if you ever feel like you don't belong, just know that God sees you and he wants to welcome you into his family, where you will never be left out, never be forgotten, and never be alone. 💜
We all sin, we all make mistakes, and because of this, we are separated from God who is perfect. But he loves us in a way that is so giving and so selfless that he gave his only son Jesus who willingly took the punishment for our sins by dying on the cross and was brought back to life so that whoever believes in him can have everlasting life and a loving relationship with God.
He understands you more than anyone else and has been there all along, waiting for you to come to him, and if you put your trust in Jesus nothing can ever separate you from his love and care. 💞
