Even though I once owned a 1959 Impala sport coup, with the 335 horse 348 engine, I absolutely love this Plymouth Fury, Nothing like the late 50's for their beautiful design and early horse power. People today don't have a clue as to what is gorgeous, only what is shown on their cell phones.

Christine wasn't a Fury, it was a two-door Belvedere. The Fury's had gold anodisation on al the trim.

Kaffyboy You are correct, the Fury's had gold trim and were only available in Buckskin Beige. However in the book I believe it said she was a special order Fury, which is why she was red and white.

If you read the book it was actually a 4 door. John carpenter wanted it to look more evil. Thats why its a 2 door in the movie.

This car is owned by a private owner in Pensacola Florida. The story goes is that this is one of Twin remaining screen used cars.

No. Christine was a two door hardtop 1958 Plymouth Fury. Four door version was called Belvedere.

Great car. Perhaps that car should have a Viper engine, transmission and suspension, making this a classic speed demon car. Converting this car to all wheel drive is a great suggestion.

Actually, it's not, it was a 53' Bel Air with all interchangeable parts... since then my dad changed all the parts to dud caster against me in my coming years... which does no significance towards me whatsoever, it may prucup and throw off other neighbory words of those stamped parts in their successes... but I am sure he wasnt thinking about God's Surrender to not suffer in the midst of a His People in those places... hmmm, forth right, well not with machines
