RIP Christine, the world has lost a great musician

She is still alive in all of us with her timeless music.

I am in awe of this woman's Incredible talent. She wrote the piano, wrote the lyrics, sang them and can still perform this beautiful piece of work so well.

Christine McVie, MVP of Fleetwood Mac in my opinion.

Songbird is what I think of when I think of Christine McVie.....so beautiful. She will never be forgotten.

I stood behind her in 1977 In Memphis on the Rumours Tour and got to spend a few moments with her backstage because of some some mutual friends! God Bless Her!!!

Christine, who I once met many years ago, is 78 years old, we easily forget that. Considering all she's been through she still loves being a musician, still loves writing. But hey folks, she's an old lady, and I have never forgotten the few minutes I got to talk with her. Some of her songs are my absolute favourites. What a legend, I love her to bits.

Christie was the real female talent in Fleetwood Mac. Stevie demanded the spotlight, but Christie stayed gracefully in the shadows, her amazing talent a huge part of the bands success. May she rest in peace and know that the impact she made will never be forgotten. 😢

Give her a break people! Come on, it was wonderful just hearing Christine's signature song again - composed by her!! Just listen to her 40 years ago and remember the musical legend she is!!

I have cried three times since I heard that Christine Mcvie had died, Memories of my mother playing Rumours for what seemed to be most of my childhood in the 70s , very sad, I have only cried when George Michael died before today.

So sad that Lindsey is gone now 😢seeing Fleetwood Mac in November and I am a little sad he won’t be there. He’s an unbelievably iconic singer/songwriter/one of the greatest guitar players of all time. Songbird is one of my all time favorite songs. Cris McVie is a gift often overshadowed by Stevie, who of course I also love But she is a musical genius all in her own right and given us some of the most beautiful songs ever written, and uh the piano; she plays so beautiful. She’s a treasure.

I saw this live back in 1980 on the tusk tour and I was standing right in front of the stage ( no moats in those days !) whilst Christine played this as the last encore . I saw Mick F at the side of the stage with tears rolling down his face. A great memory and gig love the new B/M album and she can still do it live IMO

Amazing to see this today, after Christine passed. Love her and Lindsay.

Back in the early seventies, I purchased a Warner Bros demo album which featured songs done by six or seven groups that they were featuring. I listened to Fleetwood Mac on that album and I was hooked. They appeared in Green Bay, wi at the Brown County Memorial Arena and I saw them and loved the hauntingly beautiful voice of Christine McVie. Saw them in concert six more times, the last time being 2018 at the Delta Center in Chicago. Best group ever!
