I was at a Mopar show here in Phoenix on Saturday and the actual movie car was there.

This is my favorite Stephen King novel. I have the same hardcover. I got it in 1983 when I was 16. That book became an obsession with me. I could talk about it for days. It is flawed and the changing POV just reads like a cheap fix when King hit a wall, but despite this and other problems I still love it. The dual meaning of the last line still gets me: "His never ending fury."

I love your Christine model. She's amazing. All those details. The cracked windscreen, the little patches of rust. Everything is just perfect. I've always lived Christine the novel. I'm like you though. The changing perspective is a bit off putting. I'm not over all a fan of 1st person. It works for this book though. A really amazing review. I hope you make more spoiler reviews in the future.

I'm re-reading Christine this week. My absolute favorite part of the book is when Leigh "dreams" that Christine is watching her from the street. She looks out her window and sees Christine just sitting there, her engine idling. Then Christine slowly drives off after having made sure that Leigh sees her and that Leigh sees no one is in the driver's seat. Such an amazing, descriptive and freaky part of the book - truly showcases how scary Christine is in her ownership of Arnie. Love it! And I agree with you on how King ends his books, I have no problem with his endings. They are as they should be. King can do no wrong, in my opinion.

Christine is in contention for most underrated SK novel ever. The premise is kind of silly, but the creepiness of the actual story far exceeds any the silliness. In my top-10

I look forward to reading this novel, but it's going to be awhile before I get to it. I absolutely love John Carpenter's Christine. IMO it's an underrated movie.

His style of horror is quite different because of his "pervy" tendencies, but if that is not something you mind reading, I would love to see you start reviewing his books.
