Hi! I’m Christine 🙋🏼‍♀️ After working for many years in sales and business ownership, I felt major burnout 😵‍💫 I sold my houses, extra cars, and most of my belongings. Now I'm happier than ever having very few material things. I travel living out of my vehicle with my old and blind best friend, Chase the Dog 🐶 We roam the USA looking for adventure, food, and fun! I'm never sure what the future holds. Join the adventure and find out with me! 🤩
In this video, I show you how I enjoy living in my car while working food delivery for DoorDash, Uber Eats, and Grubhub 🚙
Thanks so much for watching! I appreciate your time to like, subscribe, turn on notifications, and leave me a comment, as it really helps support the channel! 💛🙏🏼

14:48 For safety so the stuff doesn’t get handed off to the wrong person, allow them to say their name first, so you know it’s a match (now when you ask to confirm their name you have said first, they only have to say ”yes” and you can’t be 100 % sure it’s really the right person). Same when people take cabs, allow them to say their name so it’s not the wrong person driving off with you! Stay safe out there❤

i don't know why exactly but I really enjoy dashing -- I've done it both when I absolutely needed the money to simply survive and still now when it is completely inconsequential to my life I still go out at least 2-3x a week. For one, it is a great way for me to get into a mental zone and process things (work/family/parenting/etc.) while staying productive/active. In my current area I average 25$/H+ fairly easily and so I basically get an extra 1K for some mandatory "me" time throughout each month. interestingly, it is one of the spaces in my life where I get reminded often just how many good humans are on this planet and that is great for anyone's mental health and well being. all the best to you!

I did the same thing earlier this year, working full time for Grubhub, Doordash, Uber Eats, and Instacart and living in my car. It's so crazy how so many more people are doing this now. I live in southern California, and with those stats that you have, especially with the active time... if you were out here, you'd be making so much money off of just prop 22, on top of your actual earnings. I could pull $200 a day on average and anywhere from $200-$300 additional per week on just prop 22. Plus, you could earn the healthcare rebate, which is about $1200 additional per quarter if you average about 30 active hours per week. The only downside to that is that you'd have to really focus on just using one or 2 apps max primarily if you want to actually build up to 30 active hours a week.

Ty for sharing this info. I am originally from Cali. we currently live on the coast of MS & we have to actively work 7-9.5 hrs just to make $175 in one day. I took on additional apps & waitlisted for GH, Spark & DD. I am not homeless & do own my own home but wouldn’t have a problem living out of my car. My husband on the other hand probably wouldn’t like it at all. I’ve done it before when I was in my 20’s so not a big deal. My husband was just diagnosed with early onset dementia so he can no longer drive or work so we drive together. There is so much we want to do before he progresses to his final stage so traveling to CA. is something to consider now. I will def look into the Prop 22 bcz until now I haven’t heard about it. Thanks again. Good luck to you.

Try doing Instacart at open time of Costco basically anywhere in the US. I have traveled with Instacart and even though some places don't tip as well, Denver is actually the most popular city for Instacart. Anyways you can get $50-$100 orders basically every morning at 9/10am, sometimes you can get a few per day from the same Costco. Also health food stores like Natural Grocers or New Seasons(Oregon) can give you $50+ tips.

On your next car you should consider a Subaru. We've owned a dealership for 20 years and my husband's an ASE certified mechanic. We sell mostly Subarus because they are bullet proof. The biggest expense is usually a head gasket but even that's usually a one off and they'll go to over 400k miles. My 98 has 350, one head gasket replacement and it still runs so well we can't bring ourselves to let it go. Hope this helps.

I love your video & what you're doing with your life at this time! I can relate 100% to what you're doing, since out of necessity I lived in my car for nearly 6 months, until I was able to get an apartment. Since July of this year, I've been doing the Doordash thing. I enjoy the freedom of Doordashing & the pay isn't bad since It's working for me. As a former employee with a 9 to 5 1040 job, it was so confining that it was affecting my health, mentally & physically. So, I had to leave it. Being that I'm an artist (musician/songwriter), I needed flexibility. Doordashing gives me the freedom & flexibility I needed. Kudos to you Christine!

Also, when using a vehicle for deliveries or services at different locations, there is a depreciation you can use on your taxes toward that vehicle for UpTo 5 years. The way that you kept record of your time and mileage can be used to determine the amount deducted from income, so you pay less taxes. There are other expenses like, maintenance, meals, entertainment and travel expenses that be deducted also. If anyone keeps good account of these expenses, you can save yourself a lot of stress and 💰 money.
