With the 'linutil' would you be able to offer customisation's from other KZfaqrs, or famous Linux people, too? Like Brodie Robertson, DistroTube. Stallman, Torvalds, etc...

This is the kind of thing that Linux needs to have on a distro for normies to be able to use it. But it needs to be all GUI. This is a huge step in the right direction. If I had the time and skill to help I would love to work on something like this. I will be following this git and trying to learn and help.

As a long time windows developer trying linux, I am very excited for the linutil. Can we add system options for various developer setups? Like front end react development, full stack dev, dotnet dev, go dev etc?

Welcome to the team, buddy! As a fellow dev, I want you to know that I recently moved on from daily driving a MacBook to Jumping in full Arch Linux (best decision I've made this far, I'll tell my story in English someday). Anyway, I started building apps for Linux too with web tech wrapped around rust programs like Tauri etc. Little did I know that I would start to get heavily invested in shell (bash) scripts too. It's been a fun ride so far! Anyway, I look forward to your dev journey!

We need a way of reinstalling a Linux Distro, from install media, right on the Desktop, without a disk or USB Drive. ..Like we can do in Windows...I would pay for that.

This man deserves so much respect for what he has done for the community, especially people like me who are trying to learn and find it very complicated from most sources. He seems to put things in ways which are very easy to interpret and seemingly has no judgement for noobie mistakes. I appreciate your content man, keep it up

on an android phone when too many apps are installed and the phone becomes laggy we run a factory reset which cleans everything up without needing to reinstall the os. is it possible to add a similar feature to linux?

Been using your windows utility for awhile and love it to death because of how easy it is to setup everything after a fresh install. Well recently i've made the switch to linux as my daily driver and on my gaming pc and wished there was something like the Win utility and my secret wish was granted! Gonna be keeping a close eye on this project and have high hopes for the future.

This man made the Titus utility tool w/out going in full energy into developing. Think about that

Is the Windows Util something I should run each time I boot my pc, or run it every so often or just after a windows update and it resets things that the windows util had disabled? Cheers

APPLAUDS - appreciate you Titus. That gaming set up will make it easier to convince my friends to get on linux. I just use CachyOS but even that to some people seems like too much work. I just want all gamers to switch to linux.

A follower's request: debain-based distros user. I've been trying for a while to find how to join my ext4 home with an additional disk (btrfs) under my user, and stumbled onto lots of "ways", but none that I figured how to work properly: LVM, Bind, Sub-volume, chagning the mount point in fstab. If you could present a step-by-step fool-proof way to do this it would suite me just fine as one. Sencerely, thanks for your dedication to research things and presenting them.

Thanks for all the work put into this tool. It’s essential for Windows especially with all the garbage they are stuffing into the operating system and are planning to. I use my machine for audio production and it feels so much snappier with the OS stripped down. 👍

Hey Chris, I think you should consider doing something like Proton or Port Proton for Linux users or just contribute to these projects to migrate people from Windows to Linux.

You always do a really great work! in my opinion, you are already are a great developer, because to develop something like Windows Utility and now Linux Utility need to have knowledge to know exactly what is doing. I know that all these projects have others contributors, but, you are the mastermind behind all this. You inspires me to be a better Web developer and IT Tech.

Anyway to make remote desktop work every version of Windows iv tested over the past year have all had same issue remote desktop just doesn't work and these are clean installs. Has this app been dropped from within a network?

Hey Chris, congratulations and thanks for your windows utilities. I use them on every machine. Question for you: how come when I install a web browser via your utility inside an administrator account, it doesn’t show up on another users account? Is there a way to solve this? What I don’t understand is when I log into the non admin account and select to install a browser, the utility says that it’s already installed but I have no icon on the desktop or the start menu. What gives?

I great thing will be making the microwin more customizable. Anyway keep the good work and wish you the best.

It would be really sweet if the linux tool would work on BSD too, if you did that, the program would probably stick around about as long as X11.

"linutil" in french it's soon like "l'inutile" that would be translated as "the useless" it's a pretty funny name, especially for a soft like this that can be so useful, I thinks that it's a good choice. good luck with this utility, winutil is good so I am not worry for this next one!

Chris, what do you think about the updates with Nobara 40? Seems like the Linus UTL could be awesome in the future to streamline so much of the junk needed in Linux paired with Nobara seems like a win!

Could you make a video about Microwin's inject drivers feature? It tells some stuff about .sys, .inf and .dll files but isn't there a way to simply paste some drivers or apps' setup exes into a folder and Microwin will do the rest by adding them into the image's installation queue.
