I live in a huge city (Colorado Springs Co) I grew up in Eastern NC. I miss my family (all passed now). You guys are the best family ever! Beautiful voices singing about our Lord, cookies made with love from generations on down. A cabin in the woods and the simple life. With tears in my eyes, and a longing for home in my heart, I am grateful for the blessings you and your family bring in video format. Love you to pieces. Glad you had a good Christmas. I wish you many many blessings for the new year. Thanks for sharing your life!!!💟

Tipper, you have instilled the best values in the girls and how much they love and appreciate you being their mom, emanates in everything they do! No one has it “easy” in life, but the simplest and most valuable parts of life are the love you all share as a family and how you show each other. I was tearing up! You are such a beautiful family! ~❤️from Missouri

I was married to a power controller for many years. The linemen aren't out there on a pole shutting off and then turning back on. It's done by computer in a very large control room. If there is a breaker operation, then they would have to go out but not for this activity. Controllers work 24/7 no matter the holiday. Yes, we need to thank them for their work and for their families sacrifice so thank you for that.

Tipper, you have inspired me more than I can even express in a comment box. I’m 36 and have spent the majority of my life feeling “odd” for my interests. I grew up in the foothills of NC, and we share a lot of the same traditions but surprisingly it is hard to find people with common interests. Since finding your channel, I’ve re-embraced all the things I grew up loving and feel “at home” watching you and the family. I have a pumpkin roll cooling as I type this 😊. Loved seeing those ornaments. It brought back memories of my childhood Sunday School teacher. Mrs. Faye took pictures or had school photos of every child she ever taught in Sunday School. Each picture was cut in a circle (or maybe an oval), was glued onto an ornament and was trimmed in lace. She put them on her Christmas tree every year. It made us feel so special!

Your quilt is beautiful. It was a very thoughtful gift. I cannot believe how much our lives overlap in tradition. It was like standing in my kitchen on Christmas morning. I have two sons instead of two girls. I raised my boys to be able to take care of themselves in their future if need be, so they help me as much as your girls help you. lol Both are really great cooks. My husband sits in the recliner and waits for his instructions too Mat. lol Thank you for posting!

Your girls have a beautiful voice, they sung that song perfect....can't say I've heard it sung any better....by professionals..... they sure have a lot of them beat.....keep it up girls, you could be a Great Country Singer....do you sing Country love songs too..? Haven't really heard you guys sing much....closing each show, should be one of your songs....a way to get them out there.....and one day the right person will hear them and you could be big stars like Dolly, Tammy, Tanya, Barbara Mandrell.,etc........love to listen to her & her sisters sing and loved their weekly show they used to do on tv.....they had a great show....wish someone would bring back all those younger country singers like we grew up with..... I don't even know any of the young Country singers....lol.... Also wish someone would do a video of your town....like a trip to town from our house & things you did while you were there....like shop, grocery shop ....show us all the stores in the town, etc.....I love things like this....like how far is it to town from where you live....do you live on hill, mt. or holler.... kind of hard to tell.... Your house looks like it is on a hill, but could still be on a holler.... right ? And the Daughter married , is it Corey ? still can't get their names straight.....lol....sorry....her house looks like it could be on a hill too and maybe in a holler.....love both your houses..... kinda off to itself, and looks like a lot of peace & quiet..... All your goodies you are making , makes me want some of all.....have you thought about selling them ? I would buy them if you made & mailed them.....bet you could even sell them in town..... nothing like homemade goodies..... all this store bought junk is killing all of us.....we never know what's in them.....certain foods we eat are banned in some other Countries . why is it ok for us to eat, but not them ??? Doesn't anyone care ? Have you noticed lately when shopping at the Grocery stores , what's been added to out canned & pkg. foods ???I like to keep a few cans of soup on hand for days I may not feel like cooking....other day went to have a bowl of Campbells beef veg. soup....it contains Bioengineered Food Ingredients .....some Dr.'s on tv are asking us why are we eating all that processed pkg. & canned food??? This is why there are so many sick people .....they don't cook like they used too....I did not eat it....I may take it back to the store.....!!! almost everything we buy at the store has additives in them !!! Something to think about & start cooking more at home.........just saying..... !!!!

Your videos always lift my spirits! I'm so glad you were able to get together with your loved ones in spite of the frigid weather Ms Tipper!! I loved hearing Katie and Corie singing and playing violin and guitar! It warmed my heart! All your recipes looked scrumptious! Your quilt is amazing! So much work went into making it! I'm so glad Corie was able to have it restored! And the beautiful elephant that found his way home! Such thoughtful gifts!! I hunkered down this Christmas. So much cold bothers my arthritis. I felt like I was turning into a popsicle! 😄 I didn't go outside for several days. Thank goodness it's warming up now! Hoping you all have a happy, healthy, prosperous New Year!! God bless! Much love!

I have been watching your channel for some time now. I really have enjoyed how close and resourceful your family is. I’m a little older than you and Matt. I never had the closeness or the beauty of where you live it truly is beautiful.. I’m very fortunate and blessed in my life. My child hood was not very nurturing. Never learned anything good from my father but had a wonderful Mother. So I turned out to be a good man and a hard worker. Love all the videos but tell Matt he is a very good man he makes me laugh.

Tipper, I had to share that I made your mom's sugar cookie recipe this morning. I swapped out the orange zest for lemon zest, and I added lemon extract (along with some fresh lemon juice) instead of vanilla. I rolled them into balls, dipped the tops in raw sugar, and then flattened them a bit on a baking sheet using the bottom of a heavy glass. From there, I baked them according to the directions. They are so delicious! This is the best sugar cookie recipe I've ever tasted! Thank you for sharing it.

Matt had me in stitches. I had to pause the video to literally laugh. My daughter asked what was so funny and I needed to repeat. Matt's not as impressed with doing household duties, "three more days and its hunting season, and I'm loose of all this." Still laughing as I reminisce to type it. Oh, that was a zinger. That man needs him a kitchen apron, too. "I'd rather be hunting"
