I'm local to the hall and have been going to the event since it started, and the quality of the lights and effects have been getting worse and worse. I'm glad I've seen your vlog and not wasted my money this year! Last year's trail was terrible! 2020 and 2021 was the best years for this event.

We’ve been going to the Belton lights for about 5/6 years. We changed it up and went to Wollaton this year because belton was getting a little too big for its boots (prices increased and quality decreased). In shortest words, wollaton was shit! We will not be going back unless they increase the quality again and we have bought tickets for beltom house lights after all to still try and get the Christmas experience. To add to it, I tried to think of something I could remember from the trail and I am struggling! It lacked anything to make it memorable!

Love a good festive light trail, done a few of them now and there’s loads I haven’t done yet !! Makes me sad Lightopia went bust as I loved it at Alton Towers

Absolutely wonderful vlog trail looked so good with calming music and the show at the hall looked great I can imagine it to be great on bonfire night but at the end where the rides are it looks there's some room to add more

Yes, well right at the end we got to see a fire-pit and heated area. I feel like they need some more open fire-pits and heated areas along the trail.

You should come to the Sydney Vivid lazer show during winter. All the buildings in the city are lit up with animations on them.

Shawn they are selling twinklies on QVC they are like small pineapples but they are the same as yours as in the different colour patterns and music if I remember right they were 99 fir the smaller set and over were 120 I think but they are on instalments too just incase you wanted more for your tunnel in your garden lol bless you both out in that weather xxxxx

Wollaton hall hey? Didn't get chased out by the gnomes in their little cars I take it? 👀 We did Luminate Birmingham on Sunday night which was very similar and great! The kids loved all the lights which made the extortionate entry fee and the major parking problems a little more bearable

Maybe the increase of trails is due to covid. People could not or did not want to go inside for events shows etc. So places set up lights outside where they could go, and then grown from there. Also gives these places income in winter that they may not have had before

Early 2000s Nottingham City Council ran a similar type of event up at Newstead Abbey,Newstead at Night and that was much better compared to this blog.They did have musical entertainment both in a temporary tent structure outside and also the trail led into the Abbey and there was musical entertainment in there as well.Definitely a mistake to have the hall closed but not a surprise given the current issues with the council.Glad you enjoyed it though,the snow certainly helped 😊
