Do you need some Christmas dinner ideas? Well with Christmas just around the corner, a lot of department stores and supermarkets have launched festive menus. Two of those places being Wetherspoons and Morrisons. So I decided to pay them a visit to and try out their Christmas burgers to see who's best.

I think it would be fair to call this one a draw. The burger was better at Morrisons and the sides better at Wetherspoon's. I'd say equal on value for money as Wetherspoons give refills on the hot drink and their portion size was bigger.

I really love this channel :) Gets straight down to it, no chatting about rubbish like some other food vloggers I could mention.. and most importantly, no eating noises!!

super neurodivergent-friendly too! 🙌 concise and clear speech, attention to the small details, a discernable grading system, no aversive sounds, and a nice satisfying conclusion with the suspenseful question of "which one did I prefer", to finish off nicely 😄 ...amazing!

Spoons prices are 'banded' depending on the location as overheads vary considerably You go to an airport and the prices are high as the prices are in London. So if you live near a cheaper area you will pay less.

The Spoons looked a whole different level. Stick some mayonnaise in the burger and they do provide this as a condiment and it is Heinz. Chicken burger need mayonnaise in my view and taste.

The wetherspoons for me, Morrisons was probably a good idea but then done as cheaply as possible.

Just pinning the pigs in blankets and stuffing to the top of the burgers is weird and lazy to me. Salad greens and hot gravy are a no for me too. Can’t say either of these appeal to me personally

I agree with Morrisons on this one. Better price too. However I like the way Wetherspoons give the cranberry sauce on the side. Suits me because I don’t like it. Wetherspoons can be “hit and miss” at the best of times even their prices. Loving the combo bites. 👍

“Gravy usually solves all problems” is the philosophy in life I will be following from now on😉 Wetherspoons looked the best to my eyes, but I would have asked for a pot of mayonnaise rather than the cranberry sauce 🤢

They do supply mayonnaise as a condiment and it is Heinz.

Hello EIE I liked the look of Weatherspoon. I prefer the way the chicken was made. The chips looked great, as did the pigs. Great video, thank you.

Ah the good old traditional cheese with your Xmas dinner & of course chicken 😜 I was glad when popped the stuffing & pigs in the bun, too much cranberry for me & I’d bin that cheese ! I have seen cheese sneaky in to a few Xmas meals, Greggs have it in a coil of their Xmas offerings! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Morrison's. Anaemic-looking pigs in blankets. And a sweaty-looking bit of 'unmelted' cheese? And dunno why they'd serve cheese on a chicken/festive burger. (Too much cranberry/not everyone likes it). Not sure about dipping a burger IN gravy!! Hmm, OK for the price, maybe. £6-7 maybe. Wetherspoons. Good with cranberry on the side. £12.70 a bit much, but it looked much better for £4 more, though. Thanks for the review, though!!

I get that in this video you wanted to review similar meals but I’d recommend trying the big cheese burger off the Wetherspoons festive menu. it was very tasty and cheesy

There's nothing worse than a dry, tough chicken breast. I prefer Morrison's but not by much.

The best of Morrison's Meal was the actual Burger & I would prefer the Cranberry Sauce served in a separate pot on the side. The Wetherspoons Meal was nicely presented, the Pigs in Blankets looked much nicer ,however, the Chicken needs to have been coated in a crispy crumb to make it perfect!!

Not a fan of Wetherspoons for many reasons so I'd go for the cheaper Morrisons one...let's be honest with ourselves though these are just a bit of festive fun and not to be taken seriously.

Great video. A plain chicken breast can be pretty boring. It wouldn't take much for spoons to flatten, baste and grill that chicken, I'm sure it would make a huge difference

Good video. As a wetherspoons mystery diner I can say prices of food and drink vary depending on venue even around London. Food also can vary a lot depending on venue and cook at the time.

Note: The chicken isn't actually grilled. It arrives from the factory pre-cooked and frozen. It's warmed up in the microwave and (if it's not too busy) thrown on the grill for 10 seconds to give it some marks and make it *look* like it's been grilled.

not sure you could call a burger a Christmas item. the Wetherspoons looks a bigger burger, and its a normal bun, i not really into the Morrison sweet buns. maybe you could get some of the mango sauce in a bottle on the side. but they really were both fine.

"Gravy solves all problems". Brilliant. I was hoping that you would unhinge your jaw and take a bite from the Morrison's burger whilst it was still stacked. Also,I could tell from the beginning that the Wetherspoons burger was going to be drier than Ghandi's flip-flop. Definitely preferred the Morrison's one,though. Maybe you should think about sending a strongly worded email regarding their stingy pigs in blankets

The buttermilk chicken they use for the Wetherspoons burgers is much better than the grilled chicken to be honest!

Not sure sticking a grilled chicken breast in a bun makes it a burger does it? If you could combo the Morrisons burger with the Spoons chips you’d be onto a winner I reckon.

The wethersoons meal looked better to me but if you say the Morrisons burger tasted better the Morrisons it is. Ps have you got a blacklock near you they do a Christmas burger and would love to know what it taste like maybe a comparison with another mid end restaurants xmas burger maybe TGIs

Not quite sure what makes a Christmas/ Festive burger 😮 I guess it's just a plain burger with add ons. Morrisons, Very dry looking roasties 😢,the topping two badly wrapped pigs in blankets & a chewy stuffing ball stuck into the bun. Served with a slice of sweaty ,un- melted cheese.Ho no no 😢 A dollop of Cranberry sauce or jam as the pretentious call it 😢some green leaf garnish. And deep fried chicken breast, oh and tasteless gravy. However the pot of tea looked good..Didn't make me feel all Christmasy😂Spoons, what to be said? Unlimited tea is a bonus 😊 Another brace of pigs in blankets stuck on the bun😮 glad to see the Cranberry on the side 😊 and chips were Spoons regulars. The burger, a real chicken breast. Maybe a bit thick for a chicken sandwich/ burger.And sadly overcooked and dry.Good portion of bacon and it seems to be cooked, by way of a change. Stuffing again looked dry,but didn't get a close enough look.Fair amount of salad. The combo bites, were to be honest bloomin awful, looked like road kill 😢. On balance, chips, unlimited tea, Cranberry on the side. I'd give this one to Spoons. Keep chomping Allan&Family

A burger with a cup of tea...you really couldn't get more British and wrong. Morrisons: the roast pots were frozen the extras looked sad the sweaty unmelted cheese didn't look great ...a big no from me 2/10 Wetherspoons: also frozen chips (they have to be at these prices) look ok. Burger ok too. 6/10 We have a winner

I had one in morrisons the other night..... 🤬 spuds = cold, gravy = cold, pigs in blankets = cremated, stuffing = dry, hard and inedible. I was in a rush as i was shopping so thought I'd grab it on the bounce, never again! 🤬
