First and foremost MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY HOLIDAYS!! 🎄 We were excited to go crabbing for our first time this season! Yes, we were a tad late (season opens Oct 15th) but better than late never. We set up all 8 of our traps in our usual crabbing spot. However, this years first pull went a little different from previous seasons. We had quite the SURPRISE in one of our stone crab traps!

Within 15 seconds of watching your Christmas Crabbing video, my wife and I were already laughing. Amanda and Emily, you always have a great time when you are on the water, and as viewers, we get to learn so much from your experiences. Can't wait for the next video. I like all crabs, but my preferred is the fresh stone crab fresh off the boat purchased at the Keys Fischeries market in Marathon. I always stop there when on vacation and usually come back every few days. Ladies, you are doing an awesome job! I don’t fish but I love every one of your videos and really appreciate your positive attitude. May I request a 2020 blooper video before the end of the year?

When I was a kid my dad used to take me crabbing in a town called Woodmere on the south shore of Long Island. Would use chicken wings for bait. Truth be told, I wasn’t really a fan of the crabs. But, the memories I have of spending time with my dad are worth more to me than anything I could possibly pull from the sea. Merry Christmas, ladies.

My favorite crab is Blue Crab since I grew up in Maryland. A few years back we were hand line crabbing with chicken necks and while pulling one in we seen a little fish chewing on it so I netted him up. Sure enough, puff, puff puff and he inflated into a ball. Was one of the coolest things ever, never caught a fish hand line crabbing. Now we know puffer fish like chicken ! Great channel ladies. You make the videos fun to watch and informative. Wishing you both the best in 2021

Taking the family out for a day of blue claw crabbing in the back bay in New Jersey. Catching, cooking and then eating them. It doesn’t get any better than that. Merry Christmas to you both!!!

Another awesome video. Definitely beats the cold here in the Midwest. Favorite crab would be opilio/snows for the sweetness, then when we want or have a good time with friends do a good ole crayfish boil.

I used to love to crab with my grandparents in Galveston back in the 60s. But we did it with a fish head tied to a rope attached to a stake. We would come back with a net and slowly pull in fish head and scoop the net under the fish head to get the crabs. Truth be told, I never ate the crab and still don't like them. But I do enjoy your enthusiasm! Merry Christmas!

I’ve never had stone crab before. I have seen probably 50 videos on stone crabbing on KZfaq though. I’m going with king crab legs for my favorite. Another great light hearted video from you guys. Merry Christmas!

Merry Xmas! I love all crabs over lobsters. Dungeness crabs are my favorite follow by king, blue. Catch blue crabs around here in the summer but a lot of work for a little meat.

Blue crab for sure. Many fond memories (30 + years ago... ughh I feel old writing that) of going to Sanibel on the weekend. Half the time we'd spend on the pier fishing and the other half in a park catching blue crabs with dip nets. It's all fun and games until your dad is driving 80 mph on Alligator Alley and a 5-gallon bucket of feisty blue crabs flips over in the back of the minivan. Fun times.

Ahoy Captain Emily & Captain Amanda! I just discovered your KZfaq Channel yesterday while watching quite a few of your videos on a sleepness night. Let's see I've only had Snow Crabs and Alaskan King Crabs and maybe Blue Crab. So far Alaskan King Crab is top of the list. Wish I had a boat to go fishin, but alas I'm stuck in pothole infested Detroit. Wish I had my youth and health back to do what you're both doing. But I can still dream about it. I love to eat blue crab because the meat is So soft and well the trap is less expensive then stone crab trap. I Asked my parents if I could buy merchandise but they do not have the money so I really hope I win but again its in Gods hands. God Bless You Both. Happy christmas.🎄

Having grown up on Long Island, I'm not as fond of crab as I am of jumbo shrimp and littleneck clams! A little lemon and hot sauce, and you're good to go! (Yes, I remember your faces when you both tried raw clams for the first time in Boston - ha!) Have a very Merry Christmas!!

I've never actually had crab before but I'd love to try stone crab someday. Right now my favorite seafood to eat would be a combo of mahi and key west pink shrimp cooked in an olive oil, butter and everglades fish and chicken seasoning. Merry Christmas!

Merry Crabmas to both of you, too! My favorite crab is the kind someone else shells for me. Under those circumstances, I’m not terribly particular! I’m kind of a dungeness crab fan, if I’m shelling it myself. I love seeing the pufferfish!

Ladies ... love the vids! I have to live vicariously through you as I am land locked in TN. I try and get down 3 or 4 times a year to do some surf fishing and if I’m lucky I’ll do a charter. For me a big pile of bbq dungeness and a cold adult beverage ( or 2). I’m guessing the other boat had to go back...bummer=(
