During Christmas day I captured a few clips at the Stena Germany terminal in Majnabbe in the Port of Gothenburg where storm and westerly winds always floods the car park.

Thanks for watching Vinny! Strong winds from the west always increases the water level in the rivers and waterways of Gothenburg. Thanks for watching! Heavy winds from the west like we had Chrismas day push water inland and fills the canals and rivers. The river that runs just 50 meters from our house is also effected. See this video from earlier this year: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/quBio5WJzNOrdZc.html We had a lot of rain this morning but a few hours without any rain enabled a visit to town and a dog walk without getting wet. Now the rain is back and rain is promised all the way until Tuesday morning where there is a shift to colder weather with temperatures down to -11C the coming week. A sunny Christmas Day after the storm with the flooding. We had a significant rainstorm before Christmas that caused some trees to be uprooted in our local woodlands. Quite windy overnight and today. Wishing you the best for the New Year 2024.

When there are heavy winds from the west like yesterday the winds push water inland and fills the canals and rivers. The river that runs just 50 meters from our house is also effected. @@Bertil_Lundin My wife and daughter are in Silkeborg, DK for Christmas with my mother-in-law. I guess they may have sent you that wind, though she didn't mention anything to me about it being so windy. Maybe because it's just another day at this time of year, and also with the fact that they are inland.

Silkeborg is further south and inland as you write but Denmark is rather flat so I imagine it should have been some wind there too.

Oh dear! I hope there was not much damage! We ended up with a warm but at least slightly white Christmas in Ottawa this year. It's all gone now, and I'm returning home later today.

Thanks for watching Don! Due to earlier misstakes this parking is closed during storms. A number of cars has been towed over the years.
