Thank you Lauren for saying that because it can get very overwhelming when you watch all these people with the latest and greatest decor. But I find if I'm selective and I budget my money I can always add a few new pieces each year.. you don't have to break the bank.. to have a beautiful Christmas... One thing that can help to freshen up your decor without buying more is to just put stuff in a different place than you have been. Just like rearranging furniture changes things up, doing the same with your decor can make you feel like you have all new stuff without having bought anything. 😊 I always say that my Christmas theme is "Christmas"....anything I like. lol But I do tend to lean more vintage/traditional with my Christmas decor. This was a fun video. I was literally sitting down to write out my thoughts and ideas for my porch decor this year so this was great to watch while I was brainstorming. 😊

Hi, you could use command stripes or double sided tape to hold the white tree dish onto the tree board…or tie a ribbon bow on the top of the white tree and hang it from the wood tree…love your videos glad your back…stay well…God bless…💗

I do appreciate your intro. We're in a new place, and it's required us to spend way way more than we could have ever guessed in home repairs. Christmas will be just fine with what we have . Lauren you are so sweet and you always think of others. That was a very special message because yes it could be overwhelming and people can get caught up in buying the latest. The first few years in our new house I did go to the stores especially Hobby Lobby and buy things and I changed my color scheme to blush pink which I love so as I get older I have learned to decorate with what I love and my color scheme and not get caught up in what's popular. I did recently buy a Snowman print from Hobby Lobby cuz I missed out on it last year... and because I have so much stuff especially that I love I have decided to enjoy watching KZfaq channels and staying out of the stores unless I see something I feel I desperately need to have which thankfully has not happened.... yet!!! Hi Lauren, you just mentioned about stacking your tree tray and plate. Great way to do that is use Easyliner. Original grip shelf liner. Cut into narrow strips. That's what I do for everything that I want to lean against a wall. It's rubbery so your items won 't slip. 😊 Now back to watching your video.

I love how you pointed out that you don't need to spend money just because someone on y tube are doing just buy 1 or 2 items if you really want to buy not that you need to buy. I use my decorations and redo it different every yearbook. I just Bought a few items so I can do my small 4 ft tree into theme Grinch theme nothing crazy. Do some diy for ornaments of the Grinch from window cling then bought some green ornaments and that's all I bought .

Merry Christmas everyone! Happy decorating and Yes! 100% “Keeping up with Jones’s” is alive and well during Christmas time! I used to shop super trendy at Christmas time even though I didn’t even like it!! Crazy!!!!! Now I buy what speaks to me and my husband. We’ve had the same ornaments and ‘Theme’ now for the last 4 years and I still love it! This year all I’m “buying and changing” is adding in some sparkle into the tree. Got a pack on 60 acrylic “icicles” for 23 dollars on Amazon.

I appreciate you making a point to talk about being overly influenced. I completely agree and it's crazy how you start thinking you need all these things that you wouldn't normally buy or go with your home style. I'm also not a fan of neutral Christmas, which seems to be what many of the other channels are going for. As kids we had the traditional, not this neutral brown, it made Christmas magical.

I only watch the hauls and trends for ideas. I would love to have the money to do the latest trends or the pricey Pottery barn looks . I try to use what I already have in a different room or a new way. If I happen to get a gift certicate for my birthday which is in October I will decide what I really need and use it on one or two big items. Then get some cheapy kitchen towels from Dollar Tree . You seriously don't need to break the bank to have a great Christmas! We have had hard times and good times. If your loved ones are with you and even the ones who are no longer here you still have the memories and photos and experiences that you can share while making new ones! I look forward to seeing your videos to see how you decorate this year Lauren ❤
