Very fun! Moving the big tree and flanking the table with the two skinny trees was definitely the right choice. Love the Santa portrait and that you let us see your thought process in trying different things along with the fact that it isn't done in one day. We recently moved too and my new to us house is completely different and that brings challenges to sort what works, what to keep and what to let go. Thank you for sharing!

Lauren, I think you need a breath. I’ve watch sporadically for a few years and appreciate whatever you CAN do, no expectations. Life is full and busy and sometimes everything we want to complete just doesn’t happen. And that’s ok. I’m days away from turning 70 and still love a Christmas explosion. Changing it up is the fun. But when it’s not, take a step back. Your family, friends and KZfaq friends will still love you.❤️Don’t burn out on us. Take care.

I think the wall would look great in a dark color. We have a dark walk in our living room. We used Sherwin Williams Color of the Year Urbane Bronze. It looks black sometimes, and dark brown/eggplant tones at others but we love it. And I decorate a lot and I get to the point I'm ready to throw it all out because I'm so tired of decorating. But I love it in the end 🎄❤️

The sun shines on that one sport, and before to long the painting I had up on the wall started to fade, so be careful what you hang there. Also, a black wall would look gorgeous. Black to match your banister and break up all the white.

Good Morning Miss Lauren, from Georgia! The Christmas Gallery wall is Wonderful!! Just beautiful!! You seem to be very traditional in your style but are trying to do contemporary for your house. Try "transitional", it would go with both your worlds. (I am a retired designer of 38 years). You also love your seasonal decorating, so doing everything in a neutral color pallet to give you a time to change up colors for seasons. I would soften your walls with a warmer white, taupe or beige. Put shutters on your big window in the living room. You probably have been milling around all of this already. You do an amazing job and it will all look beautiful no matter what you do. oh, there is a wonderful designer in England, Sophie Paterson, you would enjoy. She is very transitional. Just for some ideas. Love your channel and admire all your do and are. ❤

I love the look of your Santa’s Library corner. It is so fun and unique. I would put the Lemax Village in the other room and keep this adorable corner as is! (I’m not a fan of Lemax Villages, though, so take that with a grain of salt, Lol). We live in an old Victorian here in the Bay Area, and I loved seeing how you decorated your old home, but it’s fun to watch you start to transform this one into something with more character. Your style is ... chef’s kiss!

I love your house! It’s a lot of work to decorate but very rewarding. I like the idea you have of an accent wall and it might take away some of the glare from that window you pointed out. I had a living room similar and the people that had it before painted the room all one color. I spent a week repainting and painted the columns an accent color it turned out beautiful.

I changed up my decor this year. My main color is green, and I have retro santas, snowmen, etc...and I am not crazy with the way it turned out.

Not certain you have enough trees 😂. It all looks amazing. I do ribbon around my tree but weave it under the branches & out (horizontally) loosely. You can still see it but it’s more subtle. I need that nutcracker ribbon. I have dozens of nutcrackers that I do in our den. That ribbon would be perfect going w/ the greenery on the mantle. Hope you had a HAPPY THANKSGIVING.

When you’re wrapping ribbon in your tree, tuck in in and secure in places like you do when you cascade it. Makes it more intentional and less haphazard. Wrap down at an angle as well.
