Yes it was, it was a great time. I’ve never seen the bass act like this. They are usually very nervous biters.

I have to go to the beach for whiting, or y’all may call em kingfish when the water gets into the 40s. That’s usually the middle of January.

Honestly I’ve never had much luck in here with top water. I’ve tried frogs and these fish don’t like noisy baits like buzz, ploppers, poppers or lipless cranks. That’s why I tried the blade. No rattles, just vibration. They seem to like it. Just wish I hadn’t forgot my pliers.
